The bell sounded just as I put my history book in my locker, signaling that we had four minutes to get to class. I sighed and grabbed my english book and notebook plus a pen and my journal and slammed my locker shut.
His scent hit me like a tidal wave. I inhaled deeply and continued walking as he passed with his pack. Damn that black leather jacket looks hot on him. I thought as I continued walked, replaying his appearance in my head.
He wore his favorite leather jacket, black t shirt, black jeans and black high tops. A chain with a cross hung around his neck with his black hair spiked up. We would've looked great walking together. I had on a black dress, leather jacket, black pumps. My raven black hair fell in waves around my shoulders and my too red lip stick glistened on my lips.
Guys just fell to my feet and worshiped me really. All excepted the Darkwood boys. I could feel the eyes of our enemy pack boring holes into me as I walked into Honors English II. I slid into my seat just as the tardy bell sounded.
"Alright class, open your text books to page three hundred and twenty six so we can continue reading the play Romeo and Juliet. Now I know you all read it last year as freshman but I just like to us it as a refresher for all reading concepts.
"Now. We left off right were Tybalt begins to complain to Lord Capulet about Romeo's presences at the party. Tybalt is not happy that Romeo is there but Lord Capulet has no problem with it even thought Tybalt wants him gone. James, please start reading where we left off."
I zoned out for the rest of the class, mindlessly drawing Dimitri. I was working on his harden facial expression when my name was called.
"Natalie. Will you please read where Juliet is talking about what a name is and I want you to really feel the character. You are in theatre so you should be able to do this and it also will give you something more productive then doodling. Now will you ple-"
I was literally saved by the bell. Mrs. Hall promised I would pick up where we left off tomorrow and we all left the class room. I swung by my locker, putting away my english supplies and grabbing my sketch book then basically racing to art. I had double art but also was a year ahead.
The reason I was so excited for the class was because it was two hours of sitting next to Dimitri since he two had double art. I sank into my assigned seat and opened my sketch book to a blank page as Dimitri walked in a sat beside me.
Our art teacher had left us with a substitute, well the strictest substitute there was. We all listened as the old bat told us that we were suppose to sketch either our mate or what we think our mate would look like. Since this was an all shifter school, things like this weren't uncommon.
I got hard at work sketching a figure as similar to Dimitri as possible without it looking exactly like him or giving people the idea that it was him. Dimitri worked silently beside me, drawing out a girl that resembled me in so many ways like mine resembled him in so many ways. I admired his work whenever I could before I got back to mine.
After your first shift, a shifter always had an idea of what his or her mate looked like. Yeah, it was never spot on but it was always pretty darn close.
"Hey." I heard Dimitri's low voice say. I looked over at him, those grey eyes instantly trapping me.
"Yeah." I said.
"This is the only time I'm going to ask something of you but I want to make this in color and left my prisma colors in my locker. Can I use yours I mean you do all your sketches in black an white always?" I nodded and pushed the box of colors too him.
From that moment on I watched carefully out of the corner of my eye until he got to the hair. He even put it like my hair. Raven black natural rosy red tips. In wolf form the rosy red was up my legs half way, on the tips of my ears and it looks like I dipped my tail in paint that matches the color.
I finished shading a few places then signed the sketch, taking it up to the desk and turning it in since I only had ten minutes left which I used to clean up and watch Dimitri turn in the sketch he did. His grey eyes met my blue ones for a brief second when he turned around but the bell for fourth period sounded.
I walked behind him until we broke apart in the hall. I continued and gathered my world history book and went to class as he disappeared down the hall.
