The Graveyard
by Acorntopper and Warrior_Prophet
When You died people came
To give me their sincere sympathy
If one more mourner had cried your name
It would surely have been the death of me
To think I used to be so afraid
Of this place where the dead
In peace are laid
By the church where they once wed
Now I visit this haven often
For your presence is all I crave
I wonder who else in these sealed coffins
Took their secrets to the grave
The grave stone's worn over time
Cherished words adorn its face
For those cut down before their prime
A place once haunted now shows an air of grace
Though grave are the dead, this realm is no longer depressing
For here you always answer me in your sweet tone
Which is why somedays I have trouble remembering
That you were once more than just a headstone
