Ram's Pov.

I woke up and groaned feeling the pain in my muscles because of the uncomfortable position in which I slept last night. I stretched my body and my eyes fell on Priya who was still sleeping covering herself with a blanket. I checked the time as she always wakes up before me, it was already 8 AM.

Maybe her sleeping schedule has changed since she stayed at her parents' house for a week. Thinking so I didn't wake her up and went to freshen up.

She was still sleeping in the same position when I came out of the washroom after taking a bath.

I called her standing near the mirror wiping my hair however didn't get any response. Panic engulped me and I walked towards the bed quickly.

I took her name twice before forwarding my hand to touch her and instantly took my hand back feeling the heat of her body. My palm on her forehead felt the temperature. God! She was burning with a high-temperature fever.

Priya... Open your eyes! I called her shaking her a little but she did not even move a little which scared me to hell.

I did not know what to do and called Mom.

She was fine yesterday night. I don't know how suddenly. I said in a panicked voice to Mom as we walked to the bed.

Maybe because of the weather. Mom replied worriedly as she sat beside Priya inspecting the temperature.

Let me call the doctor. Saying so Dad went outside.

Priya... Can you hear me? Open your eyes. Don't know why, my voice stuttered looking at her unconscious.

Bhai, relax. The fever is a little high that's why she is unconscious. Natasha stated and I just sat there staring at her trying to compose myself holding her hand.

10 minutes passed after which the doctor came while Mom and I were wiping her forehead with a wet napkin.

Mom stood up leaving the space to them where I just sat beside her not leaving her hand.

Nothing to worry about, she is stressed about something I think, it's not due to climate change or something else. mental stress affects physical health too. Stating he examined her pulse and gave her an injection.

Get these medicines, she will be fine. He tore the prescription and forwarded it to me but Dad took it.

Make sure that she will have something before you give them. He added while packing his things.

I will take my leave now, Amar. He added with a smile and turned to me.

She will be fine. Giving me an assured smile he went outside talking to Dad.

Mom and Natasha also left to prepare breakfast and something light for Priya so that there wouldn't be any delay in giving medicines.

I sat on the bed staring at her while my mind pondered upon the Doctor's words.

Is it because of last night's behaviour of mine? Mental stress? I did notice the sadness in her eyes when I denied speaking up about Esha but never thought that she would take it this seriously. One or another way she is suffering because of me.

While I was lost in regretting my actions I sensed some movements from her.

She slowly opened her eyes after some attempt of blinking and tried to wake up but failed.

Priya. I called her when she looked at me with no energy and helped her to sit with the support of the headrest and at the same time Mom came to our room with a bowl.
