Happy to be back home with her baby girl after a long week, Demi was quick to unbuckle Kenzie and pull her into her arms once they pulled up to their house. Demi clung to her little girl happily as she unlocked the door. 
"Look, baby girl, we're home!" Demi exclaimed. Looking around and rubbing her eyes, Kenzie looked up at her mommy with a smile. 
"That's what I like to see!" Demi beamed as she tickled Kenzie a little. Hero ran up to the pair, jumping up on Demi's leg. Kenzie reached for the puppy, so Demi set her down. Kenzie sat at her feet cuddling with Hero. 
"Aww," Demi cooed. 
"Come, on, Kenzie. Mommy has a surprise to show you! It's in your room. Mila got it for you," Demi told her kiddo with a smile. Kenzie reached for her mommy to pick her up and carry her to her room. Demi carried the child to her bedroom, Hero trailing close behind. As they reached the room, Demi sat Kenzie down, 
"What do you see? See anything new?" Demi asked. Kenzie looked around the room before her eyes landed upon a plush bunny rabbit on her bed. It had soft brown coloured fur and floral patterned fabric on the inside of the ears. The small girl quickly ran up to the foreign stuffed animal, picking it up, and hugging it close to her chest. Kenzie looked up at her mommy with grateful eyes before she clung onto the young woman's leg, happy to be home. 
"You must be so happy to be back home, baby. Mommy missed you, Kenzie," Demi cooed as she bent down, scooping Kenzie up in her arms. 
"Why don't we get you in a bubble bath and watch movies and colour today? Mommy got you some new colouring books while you were away," Demi suggested. Kenzie nodded once into the stuffed animal, so Demi picked her out a cozy around-the-house outfit, grabbed a diaper from the pack she'd just bought for Kenzie, and carried her into her bathroom. Demi ran the bath, making sure it wasn't too hot or too cold before adding in a vanilla bubble bath and helping Kenzie get undressed and in the bath. Kenzie giggled happily, playing with the bubbles. Demi played with the bubbles with Kenzie, blowing them around and putting them on their heads. After a while of goofing around, Demi decided it was a good time to get Kenzie out of the bath. She lifted the small girl out of the tub and dried her off before carrying her into the bedroom and laying her down on the bed, diapering, and dressing her.
Once Kenzie was all dressed and had taken her new medicines, Demi carried her to the home theater, stopping to grab the crayons and colouring books, and plopped down with the girl cuddled up on her lap. 
"Wanna help me pick a movie, Kenzie?" Kenzie continued to fidget with the strings of her mommy's hoodie. 
"Kenzieeee, baby girl?" Demi cooed, gently nudging her daughter, causing her to look up in acknowledgment. 
"Wanna help mommy pick?" Demi asked once more. Kenzie smiled and nodded, looking away with her eyes. 
"Okay, stop me when you see something you like," Demi instructed, beginning to scroll through Dinsey . Kenzie gasped, pointing at the screen when her mommy landed upon a movie called Coraline. 
"This one?" Demi questioned, stopping on the movie. Kenzie nodded once, chewing on her thumb as Demi pressed play on the movie and pulled her closer. The small girl and her mommy watched the movie contently, continuing to watch movies and colour off and on to pass the day away. After a couple of movies, Demi's stomach began to rumble, reminding her that it was lunchtime. 
She looked down at Kenzie, seeing her asleep, and decided against waking her to set up her tube feed. Going to the refrigerator, she quickly prepared one of Kenzie's feeds and set it up to run while she slept before heading back to the kitchen to make herself some lunch. 
Demi prepared herself a lunch of grilled chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and some fruit. She sat down on the couch next to her sleeping baby girl to eat. Hero jumped up onto Demi's lap and she absentmindedly petted him while she watched the TV, wondering when Mila and Lauren were coming home. After Demi had eaten and she was washing her plate in the kitchen, she heard cries coming from the living room. She quickly put her dishes to the side and rushed into the living room to see her baby girl curled into a ball screaming and crying. 
Demi sighed sadly for her, hoping that the new medications would have helped with her nightmares. She scooped the small girl in her arms and caressed her face, wiping away her tears. 
Demi gently shook Kenzie in her arms, "Hey, baby girl... wake up, please," she cooed. Kenzie stirred in her arms before bolting up screaming and sobbing. 
"Baby, hey..." Demi whispered, taking a seat on the couch and rocking Kenzie in her arms. Kenzie shook her head, covering her face with her hands as she started to hyperventilate. 
"Okay, okay..." Demi spoke softly as she laid down with Kenzie in her arms. 
"Shhh, breathe... In, out. In, out," she whispered as she traced circles on Kenzie's back. Slowly but surely, Kenzie began only letting out soft little cries into her mommy's hoodie as she calmed down. 
"That's it, sweetheart," Demi cooed, playing with the small girl's hair as she finished calming down. 
"There you go," Demi smiled, giving Kenzie a kiss on the forehead. Demi was happy that her sweet girl was able to calm herself down and she didn't have to give her the shot they had prescribed her for when she can't calm down. Demi was torn from her thoughts when she heard the door, looking up with a smile.
"Baby girl?" Demi sang as she gently tapped the top of Kenzie's head, causing her to look up at her. 
"Guess who's home?" Demi smiled as she motioned towards the door, revealing Camila and Lauren. Kenzie smiled and jumped up, running over to the couple and hugging their legs. 
"My best little buddy!" Camila screamed, scooping Kenzie up in her arms and spinning her round, making Kenzie laugh. Demi and Lauren giggled as they watched the pair, smiling. They were just happy everyone was back together again.
