On the soccer field, the Necromancer sets up another blood ritual. "More blood, more monsters. I must thank you for helping me solve this little dilemma. You know, teaching really is the noblest of professions," the Necromancer says to the dead teachers surrounding him. He laughs, "Caedis. Fomes. Gnavigem vectorium," the Necromancer chants. "Necromancer!" Landon shouts. "Oh, you are a resilient little cockroach. You're just in time to witness the end of your world, Mr. Kirby," the Necromancer shouts. "This is not my world. And I am not Landon Kirby," the former phoenix says. "What do you mean, you're not..." the Necromancer says. He gasps, "Malivore. Mr. Malivore. This isn't necessary. Surely, we can cut a deal. Be reasonable! My very veins course with black magic. I can give you anything your muddy heart desires if you only say the word," the Necromancer says.
"He's doubling down in the face of a problem," Klaus says. "Well when he only knows how to betray people and make bargains there's only one choice to make between the two in this instance," Grace retorts.
The minotaur falls to the ground, "You cannot be serious," Kaleb says. Jed brandishes his knife, "Jed two, Kaleb zero. Who sucks at killing zombies now?" Jed asks. Faith clears her throat, "Both of you," the Mikaelson says. Another monster leaves the school and is vaporized by a spell. "I distracted it. Don't tell me you're gonna ignore my assist again," Kaleb says returning to the argument with the werewolf. "Oh, come on, man. This isn't hockey," Jed argues. "All right, boys, quit bickering," Alaric says. He looks down at the dead minotaur, "Hey, nice job," Alaric says. "Thanks," Kaleb says. "Thank you. Doc," Jed adds. "Is that normal?" Kaleb asks. Faith jumps up and sees the minotaur sparkle and a light flashes. "No," Alaric says as the light dims and the minotaur is gone.
The Mikaelsons look at the most recently turned heretic for an explanation. "Oh, yeah," Faith says. "And there is that little spell that I put into place," Faith says.
Prison World
On the school field, the light shines as well, "What the bloody hell was that?" the Necromancer asks. "I don't care," Landon says. "I know what I want from you," the former phoenix says. "Well, then you're far better at negotiating than that meat suit you're wearing. And I'm all ears," the Necromancer says. "I want you to die," Landon says. A creature screeches from the sky, the dragon swoops low and uses the fire breath to incinerate Landon. "Ashes to ashes," tje Necromancer says. "Phoenix or not," he adds. "Landon," Hope calls out. "I'm afraid you just missed him," the Necromancer says. "But my dragon didn't," he taunts.
"Nice burn," Kol says. Grace and Hope exchange a look and then turn back to him. "Really," they ask in unison. He smirks, and nods, "You heard what I said," Kol says.
Reality
Inside the school, the bell tolls, "We can't find Hope or Landon," Mac says. "What do you mean?" Alaric says. "They're obviously here," he says. "Well, I have the whole precinct and your entire school scouring this campus," Mac says. "Well all but one, she refuses to look," the police officer adds. "We checked all the other classrooms, the football field. There's no sign of them or any monsters. They're just gone," Mac says.
Rebekah looks at Faith, "You are the one who refused to look, aren't you," she asks. Faith smirks, "Well when you are one step ahead, why would you look," Faith asks. "What's that supposed to mean," Alaric asks. "You'll see," Grace says.
Prison World
The Necromancer and Hope are in a showdown, "Well, aren't you gonna say anything? You're always good for a snarky quip," he taunts. "Hmm? No?" he asks chuckling. "All right. Have it your way, then. As long as your way is well done. Because I'm about to have my pet come back and barbecue you, just like your boyfriend," the Necromancer taunts. Hope laughs as he eyes turn gold, "One he is not my boyfriend and two there is a reason that my cousins do not trust me with daggers," Hope adds. "Some all-powerful tribrid you are," the Necromancer say ignoring Hope. "Bring dragons back all you want. They're always gonna have a soft spot," Hope taunts. "As I've always had one for you," the Necromancer retorts. "Save your breath. You'll be dead before it even gets here," Hope says. "I don't even breathe, for I am the Herald of Hades. The Grimmest of Reapers. I am death incarnate! You can't kill me," the Necromancer says. "I told you before, you really only need to say things once," Hope says. She uses her magic to grab a white oak dagger and chops off the Necromancer's head. "Maybe not. But I can stick that head of yours in some very unpleasant places," Hope says.
Klaus raises his eyebrows, "I mean," he says. "I understand the concept," he says. Hayley gives him a look, "Aren't you supposed to make her realize that violence is not always the answer," Hayley asks. Kol gives the unsired hybrid a look, "You should have thought of that before," he says before Davina slaps her hand over his mouth. "Never mind him," she says.
"Can I play, too?" Landon asks. "Landon?" Hope asks. "In the flesh. Somehow," Landon says. "Prove it," Hope says. "Uh, after Obi-Wan dies, he comes back to life as a ghost and teaches Luke the force," Landon says. "How is this happening?" Landon asks. "We needed a back up plan to Alaric's plan," Hope says. "Just in case it failed," Hope adds. "The flash of light," Landon says. "What did it mean," he asks. "We are in a prison world," Hope says.
"Okay, Hope knows and Faith knows," Klaus says. "Who else is in on the plan," Kol asks. Grace, Lizzie and Josie each raise their hands. "Whose idea was it," Freya asks. Lizzie and Josie drop their hands to their sides leaving Grace's hand still in the air. The dark haired Mikaelson shrugs, "Yeah, I did it," she says.
Reality
Alaric and Mac are in the school, "Hope, Landon and the monsters got sent to a prison world. That flash of light we saw. That explains why they were here one minute and then gone the next. It has to be," Alaric says as he paces. "You care to translate for those of us who didn't believe monsters existed until before this morning?" Mac asks. "It's an alternative dimension that looks exactly like our world, except without all the people," Alaric explains. "Got it. So, heaven," Mac says. "It's more like limbo. If you're banished to a prison world and you die, it just brings you back to life again," Alaric explains. "The only thing I don't understand is...why are we still here?" Alaric asks. "Because it was the plan," Faith says. "What plan," Alaric asks. "The one set in place when you sent Lizzie to go pick up Josie," Faith says. "From now on, the monsters that Malivore spits up will enter the prison world," Faith says.
"You should have told Alaric the plan," Elena says. "Why," Grace asks. "Because he is the adult in the situation," Elena deadpans. "So why did you make all the decisions for vampires who were two hundred years old," Faith asks.
