Kiana and Jack were at Long Pond studios finalizing the album. They'd already recorded the songs so all that was left was to produce them. Jack spoke about what he thought would be better for the song but Kiana wasn't paying much attention to him, she was more focused on the love song she'd recorded before shit hit the fan. The plan to release it along with her next album had gone out the window, she couldn't exactly fit a love song into a breakup album, it wouldn't make any sense for it to be on there.

"Kie," Jack waved his hand in the singers face, "Are you alright? If you need to go I can do this on my own. I'll send you the songs before anything is finalized and you can let me know if you like it"

"No, sorry, I'm- I'm fine"

"What was I just saying then?"

There was no way Kiana would be able to blindly guess, but it was worth a shot. She wanted to be anywhere that wasn't her apartment, it reminded her too much of Julien. "Something about layering?"

"That was a lucky guess," Said Jack, turning back to the computer. "So I layered and matched yours and Matty's vocals after the first chorus, which gave us this" Jack pressed the space bar to play Kiana a snippet of the song, and she loved the layering Jack had done. "So, what do you think?"

"I love it," She said truthfully. Though Kiana spoke in a rather monotone voice, leading Jack to believe she hated it.

"You hate it, I hear it in your voice"

The brunette sighed and buried her face in her hands, "I'm sorry Jack," Kiana lifted her head and ran her fingers through her hair. "I really do love it but I think I do need to go home after all"

"Alright, I can finish up Be My Mistake and I'll send you the finished product"

"Yeah, okay, thanks Jack"

"If you need anything at all I'm just one call away"

Kiana's lips curved into a small smile, "Thank you"

She walked out the studio and was immediately greeted by a flash of cameras with the paparazzi shouting all sorts of questions at her. Kiana rushed into her car and drove away from the studio. She stopped a couple blocks down to gather her thoughts, ever since her and Julien broke up she couldn't seem to have a single minute of peace and quiet, it seemed like her mind was constantly at war with itself. It was driving her insane.

The sounds of muffled laughter and shouts had taken her attention off her thoughts. Kiana tore her eyes off the steering wheel and spotted two guys — who were clearly wasted — stumbling out of a bar.

"I could use a drink" The brunette thought to herself. "One drink to calm me down and then I can go home"

Kiana left her car and ran across the street towards the bar. She sat down at the bar and waved down a bartender and asked for several shots of vodka. The bartender nodded and placed 7 shot glasses in front of the singer.
