"Dollie!" Miguel launched from his seat, giving it up and motioning for me to sit down next.

"Thank you Migs, but I'm not staying long." I shot Zero a smile after he said hi and then returned my face back to indifference when I looked to bossman. Thought I'd copy his whole, 'I don't give two fucks,' demeanour.

"You called?" I spoke standing up, looking down to him as he sat in his chair. It felt like a whole power move and I was all for it.

Romeos jaw ticked as he looked me dead in the eye. "Actually it was these two idiots who wanted you. Not me." Though his words shouldn't have meant anything to me, they stung like a bitch. There has always been an undeniable tension between us but now? Now it doesn't feel like the good kind.

Trying not to seem hurt, I turned my attention to the guys.

"We were just wondering if you wanted to hang with us tonight?" Miguel asked happily anticipating my response. "We can swing by and pick you up, then go for drinks?"

I smiled at him and his sweet gesture and was about to kindly deny, when I thought to myself, hanging out with people who want to be around me isn't something I've experienced much of before. So I accepted.

"We'll pick you up in an hour yeah?" Zero called as I went to leave the room a few minutes later.

"Alright, see you both then." With a sparing glance at Romeo, I set off for home.

Much to my assurance that I could get to and from work just fine on my own, Ronnie insisted that he was under strict orders to be at by every beckon call. I didn't need to wonder whose orders they were, so since the offer was there, I just decided to use it.

Being given only an hour to get ready, fifteen minutes of that spent in a car, I jumped in the shower just to freshen up before running - or limping - around like a headless chicken. It was just drinks with new friends so I changed into a comfy yet pretty outfit consisting of blue jeans, a black bodysuit with a plunging neckline and paired it with my grandpas black leather jacket he gave to me on my 21st birthday. Siding with some trusty white sneakers, I got ready just in time to hear my phone buzz.

Miguel: we're outside hottie ;)

I laughed at his comment, coming to understand that this is Miguel's form of affection.

Me: now coming

After grabbing my essentials and jamming my door shut, I ventured downstairs before spotting Zero and Miguel.

Both of them were leant with their backs against a black Range Rover, the sight was something straight out of a movie, the reason being because they were both in all black, matching the vehicle behind them.

If I didn't know them and they were strangers to me, they look like the type of guys your momma tells you to stay away from. Well momma, you don't wanna see who my boss is.

"Hey guys." I greet once I'm in their proximity.

Zero stifles a cough before blinking profusely, "Hey girl, you look....."

Miguel stares at me longingly before finishing Zeros sentence. "Hot. You look fucking hot señorita."

I blush and laugh lightly to deflect their compliments. Male attention isn't something I'm majorly accustomed to so the past three weeks of my life have been something out of a parallel universe.
