I stared at my reflection in the men's bathroom mirror. Thank God no one else was in here.
My ex Channel has approached Juliet. I know she's been trying to get any other girls I know away from me. She threatens them and it genuinely works.
I know Juliet, all too well. That's what scares me. Channel has ruined people's lives and I want anything but that for Juliet. She's my sister's best friend and if something happens to her because of my ex all the fixing in me and Alyssa's relationship will go completely to shit.
I'm pacing in the bathroom, back and forth, back and forth, overthinking what could've happened. My legs ache and eventually a lean against a wall and slump my shoulders, my back pressed against the cold tiles. It sent shivers down my spine.
I hit my head gently against the perfectly clean, white tiles, it was the only thing I could do to keep myself from thinking to deep.
I hear the door of the bathroom open. I quickly compose myself and straighten up. I stare at the corridor that leads to the door.
Aaron walks into the bathroom and stares as me. He was short dirty blonde hair and piercing green eyes. He looks confused at first but relieved when he sees me.
"Josh, bro, you alright? Juliet and Alyssa are looking you."
"Oh. Is something up?"
"Alyssa said she just wanted to talk and Juliet looked irritated."
"Oh my God, tell them I'll be out in a sec."
"Sure man."
Aaron walks out leaving me to mys of alone. I brace myself for the conversation and stare at my reflection.
Why was I so damn scared? It irritated me.
I straightened myself up and pulled my trench coat off the marble sink counter. I learned in on my arm and walked out.
I looked around the mall and searched for Aaron and the girls. I saw them sitting in the distance. Juliet sits I front of Thalita saying something loudly while Alita laughs. Ki is leaning on the railing next to them and Alyssa is giggling next to them. I approach and hear faint words.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN ALITA? WHAT?"
Thalita kept laughing and shaking her head. Alyssa's giggles turned into full blown laughter. Ki scoffs and smirks. Aaron stands next to her with his arm around her waist.
Ki and Aaron were always the "power couple" of everyone. Alita also had a boyfriend though. Arthur. He was a cool guy and they both clicked instantly. They all met when they were 12. They all lived in England back then and w didn't know each other.
Apparently Alita and Juliet were best friends for over a year when Aurthur transfered from a different "secondary school" they call it. Alita and Juliet approached him when he was alone and that's where it all began.
They found out both Alita and Aurthur were from Brazil, both a little bit Italian and both born on the same day and year. It sounded like bullshit when I first heard but no, it's true. It's understandable why they're together, they're perfect for each other.

I walked towards them and listened closer to the conversation.
"What's going on?"
I asked trying to buy me some time before Juliet and Alyss remember they wanted to talk to me, presumably about my ex.
"SHE DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A 'D' IN DYSLEXIA!"
"I'M DYSLEXIC ALRIGHT!"
"IT'S THE FIRST THING YOU HEARRRR!"
