ale: open up i'm outside. 
i get up and open the door for ale. "you good?" she asks "yeah" i say. "so what now?" she asks, "fuck knows" i say, "i'm going to go and see dylan i think" i say. 
"are you sure you're okay?" she asks again 
"yes im fine" i say truthfully 
"when have you ever tried to let someone down lightly?" ale says "you've had no problem rejecting guys before" she adds. "i know" i pause "i guess i like him a bit" i say. "he's the same height as you" ale says firmly, "there's a reason you've been wearing kitten heels recently" she chuckles. "they're so ugly" i groan "i miss my 4 inches" i add. "so do i" she laughs 
me: where are u 
dylan: me and maia are going to pick up the baby from my mum tai is still at the shisha lounge if you want to go 
dylan: how was the date 
me: 😬😬
me: how long is tai gonna be out for 
dylan: a while
"i'm gonna go see tai" i say. "i thought you were seeing dylan" ale says answering the phone. "who is it?" i mouth "cruz" she says. "no im with soraelia, yeah no she's not coming she's busy im leaving now" she says. "what's going on?" i ask "nothing cruz and ash just wanted to chill" she says "i'll come after" i say, "no, you're gonna get some action with tai and you're not leaving until you do" she grins. "no im not" i say smiling at the idea of it. "ughhhhh" she groans, "anyway where are you meeting him ill drop you, plus you still look great that's how you know the date was shit" she laughs. "stop it" i chuckle, "uhhh shisha lounge the one closest to me" i say. 
23:00
i get out of the car and walk into the lounge. i scan the tables but i can't see him anywhere. "you alright?" one of the workers asks me. "yeah i'm fine thanks, have you seen a guy about this tall," i say raising my arm, "he's got long hair, tattoos" i say describing him the best i can. "yeah, up the stairs on the balcony bit" he says, "thank you" i smile. 
i follow his directions, and walk out to the busy balcony. "what are you doing here?" tai asks as i walk over to him. "dylan said you were still here" i say sitting in the chair opposite him. "you look good" he says. "thank you" i smile. "how was your date?" he asks. "hmm" i hum mid inhale. "the date" he repeats. "what date?" i grin. "so it was shit" he chuckles. "yeah pretty much" i exhale. "why are you by yourself?" i ask him. "that's why" he nods his head and i turn around to see 3 guys walking over to us. "oh" i say, "you're good," he says "sit next to me though" he says pulling the chair out. i get up and sit next to him. 
the guys walk over to us and shake hands with tai, i just sit and watch. they talk for brief moment and then tai gets up "i'll be 2 minutes yeah?" he says turning to me. i nod. i sit at the table for a few minutes 
ale: all good?? 
me:yea 
23:25 
tai returns 25 minutes later. "let's go" he says as he walks up to me. i frown. "what?" he asks. "i'll be two minutes" i mock. "let's go" he says. 
i get up and follow tai down the stairs and out of the exit. "need to make a stop on the way" he says. "okay" i say getting into the car. 
"here" tai says handing me his phone with spotify open, i scroll for a moment and then "star67" by drake floods through the speakers.
we drive through the city we sit in silence the whole time, tai seems more tense than he usually does but i don't pay it any attention. he takes a right into a block ,slows down and rolls the windows up. he stops the car, sends a message. and then two minutes later leaves the car opens the boot and comes back inside. "where we going?" he says. i look at him. "what?" he says. "nothing" i say. "what?" he smirks, looking right at me. for the first time i really acknowledged tai's face. he's gorgeous, a big bit of me ale was right. "nothing" i smile. "so where we going?" he says. "just drive" i say. 
tai leaves the block and just drives. "so are you gonna tell me about this date or what?"
