ME

After we got ready, we met up with Jess and the others in the hotel lobby. Everybody was ready to get some dinner before actually getting to the meet-and-greet. When I looked at Jamie and Sam, they both looked really tired and they had circles under their eyes. Just like me and Cora. Jamie even looked like he'd been crying. Apparently, I wasn't the only one. When Jess saw the four of us, she tilted her head in confusion.

"What the hell is up with you four? You look like you haven't slept for weeks. Have you had any sleep whatsoever?" she asked, looking at us as she awaited an answer

"Well, we did but also didn't." I spoke up, speaking for the whole group and since no one spoke against, I assumed they all agreed with my statement.

"Yeah, I can see that. We'll have to do something about that so you don't look like you just came back from the dead. First, dinner. The rest, later." Jess said and we all walked out and got into the limousine. It drove us to a restaurant and we all ate our food in complete silence. After we were done, Jess sent everyone to the meet-and-greet. Well, everyone except me, Cora, Jamie and Sam. Lily also stayed behind for some reason. Jess pulled us all aside, staring at us with a serious look.

"I don't know what this is about but you better sort it out now." Jess said as she gestured to all of us excessively.

"Jess, I was actually hoping I could speak to you. In private." I said, glancing at Jamie nervously.

"Yeah, me too actually." Lily spoke up as well, giving Jamie a cold stare. Did they have an argument? That's what I asked myself as I watched the two of them, unsure of what happened. The interaction was very swift between them but I still caught it with the corner of my eye.

"Alright. Callista, come on. The rest of you, wait near the limousine." Jess shooed them away and once she was sure they were all gone, she turned to me with a curious look on her face.

"So, what's up?" Jess asked, crossing her arms on her chest.

"Would it be possible to switch seats with someone tonight? I just don't think I'll be able to handle being near Jamie right now." I said nervously, not daring to look Jess in the eyes. I was terrified even though I knew she wouldn't be mad. She was more surprised than mad.

"What is this Calla? What's going on with the two of you? You were inseparable for years and now, all of a sudden, you haven't talked to each other for 2 days? Did something happen?" Jess asked me, her expression slowly filling with worry and concern.

"I'm just...dealing with something at the moment and I don't want to be so close to him right now." I said, almost choking on my words what made Jess even more concerned.

"Does he know?" she asked suddenly, catching me a bit off-guard.

"No...It's kind of...About him." I said and Jess grew more and more confused with each word that came out of my mouth.

"Well, I'm not going to dig into your personal drama but from my perspective, you should talk it out as soon as possible because I can see that the situation is hurting you both. As to your question, I'm afraid that I can't help you with that this time. I wish I could but there's nothing I can do. You will have to make it through somehow." Jess said with a sympathetic smile as we both walked towards the limousine. My mind flooded with all kinds of thoughts again, taking my focus from everything and everyone.

"So, how did it go?" Cora asked me the moment we walked into the building where all the magic began, pulling me out of my head.

"There's nothing she can do. I'll have to suffer through it." I said, my tone sad.
