A Month Later
It was now February 12th; someone with dark brown hair with faded platinum blonde hair with deep blue eyes was walking around the whole town of San Francisco carrying some bags. "Hey Hannah! Wait Up!" they hollered at Hannah and ran over toward her, Hannah turned her head to look at whoever called out to her, "Oh Hey Steph" Hannah waves at her, Steph runs up to her to give her a tight hug but Hannah winces because what she was doing to her while carrying bags, "Oh sorry, did you just got back from shopping?" Steph asks "Yeah kinda, I was supposed to meet up with my dad today at the restaurant tonight so I got something for siblings tonight while I'm out hanging out with dad" Hannah says, Steph furrows her eyes in confusion knowing something was off about she's saying. "Okay, what's going on, Hann? You've never go anywhere without your siblings" Steph asks, Hannah looks at her and sighs, "Okay fine. They don't want to see my dad, right now because of something that happened in the past with him and my mom" Hannah answers "What, why?" Steph was now confused about why she said something to her, "It's complicated" Hannah says, Steph nods her head understandably, "So you're meeting up with him tonight?" Steph asks "Yeah. I am, why?" Hannah asks, Steph shakes her head slightly, "No reason doesn't that look suspicious to you just you alone with your dad?" Steph asks, Hannah furrows her eyes while walking, "Suspicious? What do you mean?" Hannah asks "He wants to see you alone like without your mom and everything" Steph explains, Hannah thought for a moment before replying to her with a an explanation, "I mean you could be right but I don't think that's the case at all what's happening here, he said something about having a family meeting tonight over dinner plus my mom's working double shifts tonight and 24/7 everyday, she knows what's going on tonight so she mentioned that one of my sisters can babysit for tonight" Hannah says, Steph looks at her like something was wrong with her by knowing something was wrong, "You seem to unsure about the situation with your sister babysitting for a couple of hours maybe days and months" Steph says, Hannah looks over at her best friend and sighs, "Yeah, it seems so but I can't leave them alone at all" Hannah says, Steph thinks for a moment and realizes an idea popped up into her head, "Maybe. I can babysit tonight for you while your out" Steph brought up, Hannah's face lit up after hearing about her babysitting, "You could do that for me?" Hannah asks "Sure, of course. I got nothing planned tonight" Steph answers her question with a smile on her face, "What about school and homework? You have a few months left to go before graduating from high school and return your assignments" Hannah asks pointing out, Steph touches her shoulder calmly and gently, "Don't worry about that, I can do homework at your place and go from there" Steph says, Hannah sighs in relief, "Alright fine but if I hear anything from my dad, I'll call you ASAP. Deal?" Hannah tells her, Steph nods her head for an agreement "Deal" Steph says with a smile until she received a ring from her pocket, Hannah reaches into her pocket grabs her phone out and sees that she was receiving a phone call from her mom, "I gotta take this, do you mind?" Hannah asks showing groceries to her hoping she could help her so she could answer the phone, "Of course. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine" Steph smiles at her and grab the bag of groceries from her hand, Hannah mouthed 'thanks' and hits answer on her phone; 
Hannah: Hi mom.
Mom: Hi sweetheart, are you home yet?
Hannah: Not yet, I just got done shopping. What's up?
Mom: Just wanted to check on you to see if you're feeling okay about tonight about seeing your dad.
Hannah: Nervous as I'll ever be it's been ove-
Mom: 5 Years, I know. 
Hannah: What if he lectures me into living with him and his family? 
Mom: He won't, he's just going to catch up with you on what he had missed out on.
