She sleeps comfortably and I peck her forehead before carefully removing myself from her. I move out to the living and settle on the couch flipping the tv channel constantly. It's 1:30am and my phone rings.
"Say.."
"Business deal? Meeting? Seriously ram?" Abhi taunts from the other side.
"You shouldn't have been that harsh on her" I sigh.
"She didn't have to indulge in a stupid idiotic fight with Tina. Atleast you come back ram"
"Abhi talk to me when you calm down"
Ram you can't just walk away from my wedding"
"Listen, I know Priya went overboard but you didn't have to talk to her like that. She is so close to you Abhi, you know how she is"
"No! I don't know.. she wasn't like this before. She was better, much mature ram.. I don't know why she is reacting so much nowadays. For every little thing!!"
"Listen, it may be because of her ex she has changed. Ashwin, the guy she was with used to emotionally and physically abuse her"
"What?!?"
"Yeah, she is very fragile and weak abhi. Little things hurts her and she always feels inferior. She herself is messed up. I want to help her. If I had let her come all alone, she would've been crying all the while and overthinking everything... She needs someone"
"Oh god! I didn't know all this... what have I done... I will not leave that bastard"
"Relax, I'm here. I'll take care of everything"
"So she won't come back?" His voice comes low.
"I don't think so. And Abhi, I guess it's better that she doesn't attend your wedding now. You can apologise to her later on. And I'm sorry to miss your wedding brother. But don't worry, you will make it up to us by throwing a party for us okay?"
"Hmm..."
"Don't be upset now. What's happened is happened. I'll take care of her. You enjoy. Even she wants you to enjoy your wedding. Everything will be fine. We'll catch up later okay?"
"Thanks ram, good night. Take care of her"
"I will"
He hangs up and I take a deep breath before relaxing myself on the couch.
I don't know when sleep takes over me. But when I get up in the morning, I stretch my arms and sit up straight rubbing my face.
I look over the kitchen and find priya making coffee. I get up and move towards her "Good morning baby"
I was about to kiss her but she moves her head back making me frown.
"You okay?"
She ignores me and pours the coffee in the mugs infront of her.
"Priya I'm talking to you"
"You didn't have to sleep on the couch. Or if you're really still not to terms of sleeping next to me then we don't really have to give it a try if you just told that for my sake" She says without looking at me and I can see that she is hurt.
I cup her face making her look at me "Baby, it's not like that. I thought of sleeping next to you. But, I wasn't sleepy so I was watching some cricket and didn't know when I fell asleep here"
She looks around my eyes "Really?"
"Yes baby, promise" I whisper.
She hugs me "Sorry"
I kiss her head "Don't be, now let me freshen up so we can have coffee together okay?"
She pulls back nodding and I smile at her before walking to the bedroom.

I come out and take her to the verandah of the penthouse which had a beach view.
I settle on the chair and before she could sit next to me, i stop her and signal her to sit on my lap.
She blushes which makes me smile and comfortably settles on my lap as we sip on our respective coffees.
We enjoy the moment in silence and after keeping the mugs aside, I entwine my fingers with hers while the other hand was wrapped around her waist, holding her near me.
I kiss her knuckle and she lays her head against my shoulder and smiles.
"This is so peaceful" She whispers and I kiss her sidehead and then her knuckles again.
"Baby.."
She slightly turns her head to look at me.
"You want to go back?"
She nods her head in denial and her face falls.
"Okay okay we won't.."
She looks up at me "No, you should go ram. He is your cousin. Your brother.."
"I've already informed him that I'm staying with you"
She gapes "What? No... please I'll..."
"I'm not leaving you" I stay sternly and she looks into my eyes. I pull her closer and peck her lips.
"These two days, I'm not leaving your side even for a second" I whisper over her lips and she just keeps looking at me with her soft gaze.
She snuggles into me and I smile holding her close.
After sometime I speak up "Shall we shower now?"
She looks up at me "I don't have my clothes here"
"You don't need clothes around me" I smirk and her face reddens.
"Ram..." She whines and I chuckle getting up having her in my arms. I make my way towards the bedroom when she says "Ram I need clothes"
"You can wear mine and I highly doubt that will stay on for long because baby these two days you're going to be on the peak of pleasure" I wink at her who chuckles with a slight pink hue on her cheeks.
