"Of course, I promise to stay by your father's side as a good wife and companion and look after you all as my own not giving any of you a reason to complain" she said smiling at them as Rukkaya and Summaya responded to her while Maryam and Aliyu looked at themselves before looking back at her
"Please excuse us" Maryam said to her father as she held Aliyu's hand gesturing him to come to the second living room with her which he did
The two stood there for a moment looking at themselves before Maryam spoke up
"Should we tell him?" She asked 
"We have to" Aliyu responded
"She's cheap and shameless your father deserves a much better woman than her" Aliyu said again
"On one hand we'll be doing bad if we don't tell him on the other we'll finally be able to get rid of her from our lives but I can't bear to call her mum, she can never be my mum or like a mum to me" Maryam said 
"Maryam, we're telling your dad everything about her, we aren't going to hide anything or go ahead with this just to keep her out of our marriage, we can't let your dad suffer with a woman like that, his blinded and can't see through her but we're victims we know what she's done and it's only right we do the right thing and expose her" he said in a convincing and explainable manner
"I know but-" Maryam said as Aliyu cuts her off 
"Maryam look, she can never come between us or our marriage and she will never be your mum either or a member of this family, not with the behavior she possesses so let's save your dad from a woman like that okay" Aliyu said nodding at her as she let out a breath before nodding back at him
"Okay let's do this, but wait, is it right to tell him here in front of everyone or in private?" She asked
"Privately, now's not the right time" Aliyu said as Maryam nodded
"Okay" she said nodding
"We'll just be calm for now" he said again as she responded okay before the two went back to meet the rest of the family in the living room.
Walking in now they can just see Fatima getting along with everyone which would have been a good sight if she wasn't as bad as she was.
"You're back" Alhaji Shehu said as they sat down
"Yes" Aliyu said nodding with a smile
"Was it that private you had to leave?" Summaya asked 
"Yes" Maryam said forcing a smile before looking back at her dad who gave her a confused look
"Is everything okay with you two?" He asked 
"Yes" they both said in unison before looking at themselves
"Everything's good" Maryam said nodding looking at her dad
"Okay then, do you have any questions for Fatima, we're doing a question and answer session so you all can get to know her better" her father said smiling widely
Judging by the look on his face, she could tell her father was deeply in love, this was how he used to smile in the early days of her mums marriage. She admired it a lot but why did the woman have to be Fatima of all people.
How did she manage to woo her dad, is this part of a plan or what the hell was going on.
How would her dad react if he comes to know that the same Fatima has been trying to ruin her happy marriage
"How long have you two been together?" Maryam starting off
"A month now" Fatima responded as Maryam looked at Aliyu before looking at her father
