Luke's POV
I got up. I immediately noticed something. I wasn't an animal. I was human again. Also, my old clothes were back. My hoodie, my jeans, even my Converse All-stars. I reached inside my hoodie pocket, but unfortunately the silver Pocket Watch wasn't there. Zack got up a few moments later and realised the same thing.
"We're back." He said.
"Damn, I missed this place." I said, looking around at everything.
"You know, Luke," Zack said. I turned around. "I reckon we could go back one day, if I could build another one of the machine."
"I'm sure we could, but could you build it?" I asked.
"Sure I can, I did Engineering in College." He replied.
"You wanna bet on that?" I asked.
"How much?" He bargained.
"50p." I offered.
"Psh." He said. "You can do better than that." We both laughed for a moment, before going back to being serious.
"Could you build another machine?" I asked.
"I'll sure try," He replied. I kissed him. "Woah, okay that was a little uncalled for."
"Sorry," I said. "I just love you."
"Good because I just love you too." He said, hugging me.

Epilogue
------------- 3 Years Later -------------
"Okay, close your eyes." Zack said, putting his hands over my eyes.
"What are we seeing again?" I asked.
"We're going to see what I've been building for the past year and a half." He replied.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Shush and let me show you." He replied, guiding me down a hallway.
I'm fairly sure I knew what he was going to show me. He was going to show me the new Machine. After returning from Zootopia 3 years ago, we both decided to take it slow whilst we went through university. We had multiple dates and eventually bought a place together. We were happy. Then, a year and a half ago Zack decided to start trying to build the machine again. And here we are, a year and a half later.
"Okay, open them." He said, taking his hands away. There it was. The machine. It was a perfect replica of the very one we used 3 years ago. Not only was the machine there, there was also two other people I knew very well.
"Nick? Judy?" I asked in utter surprise.
"Yeah." Nick said.
"You guys didn't have to come all the way here just to see me." I said.
"We didn't. He took us back." Nick replied.
"Thanks." I said to Zack. He nodded.
"Look at you," Judy said. "How old are you now?"
"Twenty Two." I replied.
"Wow, twenty two. You don't look a day older than when I saw you last," Nick replied. "So you must be leaving Uni now?"
"Yeah. I left a few months ago." I replied.
"Come to think of it, you've pretty much grown up with us." Judy said, coming closer to me.
"I first met you when I was Seventeen, I don't think that's exactly growing up." I replied.
"You were still a teenager," Nick replied. "Now you're a fully fledged adult."
"I guess." I replied.
"I'm proud of you Luke," Judy said. "You've grown so much as a person these past five years. I'm sure you'll make a fine adult."
"Thanks." I said.
"Luke, can I ask you something?" Nick asked.
"What?" I said.
"What did you do in Uni?" He asked.
"I studied Law, why?" I asked. His face lit up.
"You- you could.." Nick began. "You could work at the ZPD if you want."
"You really think so?" I asked.
"'Course you can. Sure, the pay comes out in Dollars, but I'm sure Bogo will convert it for you." Nick replied.
"What about Zack?" I asked.
"I'm sure he could come to Zootopia with you." Nick replied.
"Could I come back here?" I asked.
"Yeah, you can come back to here for the holidays. I mean, you have a time machine so you can come back whenever you want really." Nick replied. I thought about it for a moment. It was true. I did have a time machine and I could come and go as I pleased and no time would have passed in either world if I didn't want it to.
"You know what, I'll give it a go." I said.
"I could do it too." Zack replied.
"Well that's just amazing," Nick said. "I guess you'll start Monday."
"Thanks, really," I said. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have a job. I've had really bad issues trying to find one here."
"Well that's even better." Nick replied.
"I think we should get going. I don't want this balance business ruining my appearance." Judy replied, pointing to the machine.
"Right, yes," I said. "Enjoy your next few days and I'll see you Monday."
"Bye again then." Nick replied, stepping up to the cockpit of the machine.
"Bye." I said as Zack got up with them.
"See ya around, squirt." Nick said, making a salute.
"Same to you, Squirt." I replied, doing the same.
No-one's POV
After that day, Luke and Zack began a career at the ZPD. They absolutely loved it there. On some holidays they returned to 2023, but after some time they decided to stay in Zootopia. I mean, they didn't exactly have any purpose in 2023 anymore. They now belonged in Zootopia.
