"So, what brings you here young lady?" Virion asked as Caera sat down on the seat prepared for her and I took my usual place
"I need to speak with Lance Arthur Leywin"
"For what reason a lady from one of the most renowned highbloods in Alacrya and the protégé of the last scythe is looking for a Lance?" Virion inquired
"Former scythe, my master lady Seris started a revolution in my homeland, we seek to free ourselves from the clutches of the Vritra clan, for that reason I'm here to ask for Lance Arthur's help" Caera replied
"*umpf* she's just trying to seize power for herself now that Agrona has been weakened" Blaine commented
"So Seris started a revolution huh? What exactly did she do?" I asked ignoring his comment before Caera could yell at him
"We managed to kill a sovereign, Orlaeth and they're currently using his corpse as a mana battery to fuel a massive shield spanning over half of Sezh-Clar"
"If you managed to kill an asura why do you need our help?" Merial asked
"While it is true that we managed to kill him we only succeeded because it was a trap, asuras completely rely on mana in order to sustain their bodies, if you take it away they'll wither to death, lady Seris built a massive artifact capable of forcibly extracting Orlaeth's mana weakening him enough to kill him, but that only worked because she was serving him as his scythe, it'll never work again and we don't have the strength to fight an asura head-on" Caera explained
"Which is why you're reaching out to us, but the question is what do we have to gain? Why should we help you?" Bunhd asked
"First of all as soon as Agrona is dethroned we will immediately sign a peace treaty with Dicathen and we'll also pay you war reparations also we'll share with you some of our technology, lady Seris prepared a formal proposal, here you'll find all the details" Caera said taking out a stash of paper and handing it over
"But why do you want to get rid of him? From what we know Alacrya benefitted quite a lot from Agrona's presence, your magic, your technology, he also keep you all safe from the mana beasts" Blaine questioned 
"Do you also know that our non-mages aren't even treated like humans or that children who are born with unusually high concentration of Vritra blood are taken away from their families to be fostered by wealthy families so that once their blood manifests they can be shipped to Taegrin Caelum where they'll be used for Agrona's experiments, he protects us only because we are his pawns in his war against Epheotus, we want to be free for the same reason you don't want to be conquered"
"Very well, we understand your reasons and from what I can see this is not a bad deal for us" Virion spoke up after finishing reading Seris's proposal
"That said I'm afraid we don't have the means to help you, Arthur is currently away and we have to way to contact him also we have no idea when the asuras from Epheotus will launch a new attack against us, as of now Jade and Arthur are the only ones who can possibly stand a chance, without them we'll remain undefended" Virion continued
"But..."
"About that, I'm working on some countermeasures" I stated interrupting Caera
"What kind of countermeasures?" Alduin inquired
"Well I was thinking of something to prevent them from simply teleporting in our continent, if we can do that they'll have no choice but to approach by sea or by the sky, we can then set up a perimeter and keep watch on our borders if they'll attack us Arthur and I will immediately intervene, this way we should be able to go on the offensive" I explained
