After his talk with Jeongin, Changbin knew what he had to do. He couldn't expect Felix to open up to him if he couldn't even open up to the boy, completely, himself.
Changbin needed to make it clear that all he needed with Hyunjin was time, and he needed to apologise again for jumping to conclusions about Hyunjin, when in reality it was his own insecurities that were getting the best of him.
He also needed to talk to Felix about Wooyoung properly. No more second-hand information from other people. Once Felix better understood his past with Wooyoung then hopefully he could understand his present better. Hopefully Felix would understand why such simple things like going to a freshman frat party terrified him.
Once Changbin explained all that then hopefully Felix would talk to him and tell him his worries too. Hopefully they could finally talk about their relationship openly with nothing holding them back.
Once Changbin arrived home he was ready to speak with Felix, but Felix wasn't home yet. As Changbin looked up his timetable he'd sent him he realised he wouldn't be home for another hour at least.
Changbin passed the time doing everything and nothing until he finally heard the door click.
Like a dog Changbin bounded to the front entrance only to have Felix brush him off as he took off his shoes and placed them on the shelf.
"Are you waiting for uber or something?" Felix laughs.
"Eh? No" Changbin responds. Felix's words had caught him off guard. Changbin goes to speak with plans of getting Felix to sit down with him. But Felix pats him on the shoulder before he quickly darts around him, saying he needs to take a shower.
Changbin is left alone in the hallway, his motivation slipping away. But not completely.
Changbin sighs as he sets himself on the couch, this time fiddling with his phone to keep himself distracted.
Once he hears the water stop his heart speeds up, he doesn't pounce yet though and instead waits for Felix to come out when he is ready. He couldn't stay in the bathroom forever. Or then again..maybe he could.
"Lix?" Changbin called from the couch once more than enough time had passed. "Can you come here for a sec?"
"Yeah I'll be there soon" Felix's smooth voice replies back.
"Lixie please I need you to come now not in 10 minutes"
Felix pops his head around the corner of the door like he'd been hiding there this whole time, and slowly walks his way.
He was dressed in a loose sweater and track pants; making him look exceptionally cuddly. Even dressed so simply like this, to Changbin, Felix looked gorgeous and if his walls weren't so high Changbin knew he would have slammed Felix into the couch and smothered him with kisses as he told him how beautiful he looked.
Changbin reins in his thoughts as Felix settles on the couch. He then makes sure to give him enough room and space so he doesn't feel pressured or suffocated.
"What's up?" Felix asks.
"We need to talk. About us" Changbin says, his heart in his throat.
Felix gulps, but stays put.
Changbin fiddles with his hands as he finds the confidence to speak.
"Firstly I just want to say sorry for overthinking things with Hyunjin. I know he's your friend and I know he doesn't have feelings for you. Maybe there was something there in the past but I believe you when you say he doesn't feel that way about you now. I think for me, just give me time with him ok? I don't hate him, I'm just jealous I guess"
