It was smack bang in the middle of O'Week at Holo and things were busy.
From the moment Felix had stepped onto campus hand in hand with Changbin, bright and early Monday morning, they had been swept up in the hustle and bustle of university life.
Holo was teeming with energy; there were stalls set up with activities inviting people to join clubs, music and dance crews were making their way about, food trucks lined the car park and lecture theatres, and every now and then the college mascot: a fox, would appear waving and cheering.
It felt like a festival...a festival where you still had to go to classes. Which Felix was enjoying, the only problem was he barely had time to catch Changbin throughout the day.
Unlike Minho and Jisung who had adjusted their timetables so they could spend time together between classes, Felix had randomly chosen classes not too fussed when they were, just as long as they didn't overlap and that they didn't run late into the evening. But now it meant barely anything lined up with Changbin's busy timetable that went between classes and training. Felix hoped that next semester he could pick a timetable that worked around Changbin's schedule.
For now he'd have to wait until he got home to have Changbin all to himself, even if their relationship was in a bit of a weird place right now and having Changbin to himself only went as far as being in the same room as him. Felix was still navigating this reignited relationship with Changbin and he was well aware that it had its flaws at present. Flaws he tried to forget about for now as he made his way to meet up with none other than Jisung, Minho and Hyunjin.
Felix had heard from Jisung that Minho had spoken to Hyunjin, and that the two wanted to be friends again, Changbin included. Felix hadn't told Changbin yet, he wasn't sure how he'd react; for now Felix had agreed to have lunch with the three. It turns out they all had Wednesday lunch free.
Felix was certain once they got talking he could find a way to get Changbin to like Hyunjin again. If Minho could welcome Hyunjin back in again then Felix was sure Changbin could too.
So here Felix was, making his way towards the trio, accepting pamphlets along the way for university clubs that were thrust his way and countless flyers all for a frat house party happening on the weekend; probably the most interesting of the lot.
Felix stuffs the flyers in his bag, and not before long he had spotted, and was walking towards an ornate gazebo that they'd all planned to meet up at. It sat off the boardwalk beside Holocene Lake, the very lake Holo university was named after.
He spots Jisung first, the boy was currently crouched on the edge of the boardwalk his phone held out in front of him as he takes pictures of the ducks that were floating in the water. He then spots Minho who was sitting cross legged under the gazebo and then Hyunjin who was sitting across from him.
"Jisung!!!" Felix calls, catching his best friends attention.
Jisung's head snaps up and he bounds to his feet, only to then run full speed almost toppling Felix over. "Hey Lixie!"
Their hug is warm and sweet before they are quickly walking to meet Minho and Hyunjin.
Like always Hyunjin is quick to sweep him into his arms. "I hope you didn't bring food because I bought pizza!" He beams.
"Just a sandwich, but that's just duck food now" Felix laughs, he then turns to Minho.
Minho eyes him without expression, but then Jisung jabs him in the side and to Felix's surprise he raises his arms....for a hug.
Felix can't help but look at Jisung for the briefest of seconds before hugging Minho back.
"See I told you Lix doesn't hate you"
