While we're back at the PWT, we find the passage known as the Relic Tunnel. It actually links from this place to Castelia Sewers. When we're there, we capture a Drilbur in the Dust Clouds and we try to evolve it into an Excadrill after some training.
Drilbur: The Mole Pokemon: Ground Type. It can dig through the ground at a speed of 30 mph. It could give a car running aboveground a good race.
Excadrill: The Subterrene Pokemon: Ground and Steel Type. Evolve from Drilbur at LV:31. More than 300 feet below the surface, they build mazelike nests. Their activity can be destructive to subway tunnels.
After walking through, we arrive at the bottom part of the Relic Castle. Cilan says, "So it seems that the top part and the bottom part have been separated from the sand, and I guess this is now the way we go to the bottom floor..."
"If I remember, one of the Seven Sages in the past mentioned that there is a Volcarona living underneath the Relic Passage..." I say.
"Volcarona? Do you think that really exists?" Iris asks.
When we arrive at the room, we find no sign of Volcarona. Golly says, "I wonder if Volcarona really exists..."
"There might not be, considering some trainers must have come here to capture it. But look what I found!" Alice says as we notice a Larvesta.
"A Larvesta... and judging by its appearance, I think it was hatched not long ago." I say.
When we learn that this Larvesta has nobody by its side, we decide to help him by capturing the Pokemon.
Larvesta: The Torch Pokemon: Bug and Fire Type. This Pokémon was believed to have been born from the sun. When it evolves, its entire body is engulfed in flames.
When we arrive at Route 6 after flying back to Driftveil City, we find Cheren in front of the Weather Institute. "Oh, guys. Can you come with me for a moment?"
"Sure?" After we enter the Weather Institute, he says, "No one really talks about it, but the record shows that there was a sudden drop in temperature near Lacunosa Town. It was only for a moment, but it went down as low as -58° F. Not only that but similar temperatures were recorded around Castelia City and Driftveil City."
"Low temperatures... I hate low temperatures..." Iris shivers.
Eve says, "It is a good thing that we were born in an area that snows all the time, isn't it?"
Cheren says, :On top of that, that incident with Team Plasma! I think this needs some investigation before things go bad. I hate cold weather, though. I'll give you this."
Golly takes the HM for Surf, which is quite useful. "With this, please go to different places and check what's going on. Let one of your Pokémon learn Surf, and you can travel across the water."
And before we leave, we find a scientist who finds a rare Deerling and he wants us to raise it. So we decide to take the Deerling, and much to our surprise, the reason why it's rare is because it can change its form on his own free will.
Deerling: The Season Pokemon: Normal and Grass Type. The color and scent of their fur changes to match the mountain grass. When they sense hostility, they hide in the grass.
"That Deerling sure is unusual if you ask me..." Cilan says.
"Yeah, I wonder how it can change its form on its free will..." I say. And while we do some training, we evolve it into a Sawsbuck, which can also change the form on its free will as well.
