Chapter 27

                                    

                                          
All fighting from Roche and Moretii comes to a stop once a warning shot is fired. Once River finishes off the agent she was currently fighting with, she turns to see Maggie on the ground holding her left shoulder with an agent standing next to her.
"Oh you're fucked." Maggie states, only for the agent to raise the gun to her again.
"SHUT UP BITCH OR I'LL SHOOT YOU AGAIN!" The agent shouts holding the gun to her right shoulder now.
"Especially now." She mutters.
Just then River shoots the agent in the left knee and, once he's on the ground, shoots his right shoulder. She then approaches Maggie and analyzes her, making sure she'll be okay for a bit while she takes care of the agent, that is now on the ground in agony.
River makes her way back to the agent and kicks his side, turning him onto his back. The agent tries to punch her with his good arm but she catches it and twists his arm, breaking it. The agent lets out a small cry of pain but is cut off by a punch to the face.
After a few more punches impacted his face, River grabs his head and a smashes it against the concrete floor they were currently on. She does this a few times before she stops, content with the amount of  blood oozing out of his head. She then stands up and shoots him in the head, for good measure, and makes her way back to Maggie.
While Roche and Moretii finish off the last of the agents River helps Maggie stand and hands her off the Nathan, who then helps her to the metal table.
River now joins Roche finishing off his guy just as Moretii finishes his last few. They team all gathers around the table that Maggie is sitting on.
"Guys, she'll be ok it's only a bullet to the shoulder, she'll recover in no time." Nathan states looking towards River to reassure her as she gives a nod.
"Ok you two go cut everyone of their ties." River says looking at Roche and Moretii.
"How?" Roche asks.
"With the fucking knife in your hands." River answers him, and they go off to cut the Avengers free.
"I'm going to start calling them the dumb trio." Maggie mutters, receiving a small smile from River and a confused look from Nathan.
"Because they share one brain cell." River tries to explain to the confused man, but soon realizes that wasn't enough she continues, "the brain cell is the third of the group, making it a trio." She finishes.
"I think you two share the same brain at this point." Nathan mutters under his breath.
"Go get Sage." Maggie tells Nathan, who quickly runs out the door to find where the little girl ran off to when she left the room when the fighting had just begun.
Once the Avengers are cut free, they all just stand their not really knowing what to do. They have no reason to start a fight, especially when they were all just cut free. And they also don't know where to go if they were to run.
"Roche, Moretii get a coat." River tells the 'trio'.
Once they get their jackets on the help Maggie get hers on, with our injuring her shoulder even more. Then Nathan walks in with Sage, and comes over to get their coats on to.
"How many?" River asks Roche.
"Ten." Moretii  responds for Roche, as he was to busy counting the coats to hand out.
"We only have nine more coats, someone doesn't get one." Roche says, looking up at River.
Just then Steve raises his hand, as if he were a primary student, the get their attention. When River  looks at him he lowers his hand and looks away from her, and says.
