Izuku watched on in horror, his nightmares slowly becoming a reality. The same type of nightmares that used to haunt him for days in middle school. The ones where his feet were stuck to the ground, preventing him from running forward and saving them from their fate. They still haunted him, the very fear of being paralyzed and forced to watch them die before his eyes making his chest tighten.Aizawa gasped heavily on the ground, still not looking up. A puddle of blood had formed around his head, no sound being heard from where the ravenette laid. The blue-haired villain walked towards him, close enough so that the students could hear.
"What do you think of him, Eraserhead?" He asked, almost tauntingly. "Hm.. he's the bioengineered, anti-Symbol Of Peace. But you can call him 'Nomu'."
The creature roared as it stayed over Aizawa's almost motionless body. The 'Nomu' picked up the ravenette's arm before slowly bending it, breaking it in the process, which earnt a small scream of agony from the hero. A scream that neither of his children had heard before.
Izuku didn't want to watch anymore. He couldn't watch anymore. This.. this was too much. Too much for anyone to watch, let alone go through. He couldn't bear to see his father go through this anymore, but he knew it'd be irrational for him to run in now while there's still two big threats on the battlefield.
"You can erase peoples' powers. That's irritating, but it's nothing impressive. When faced with true, devastating power, you might as well be a quirkless child."
Aizawa turned to look at him, activating his quirk immediately. His red eyes glared into the villain's, almost as if he were telling him to back off. The creature stomped on his arm, making him grunt in agony again as he forced his head down. The 'Nomu' crushed Aizawa's head into the floor once more, this time making a small crater in the ground.
Izuku didn't know what to do. He didn't want to listen to his father's agonizing screams any longer and he didn't want the villain's to hurt his friends anymore. He wasn't sure what was right, what he should do, what he could do.
But he knew what he wanted. He wanted to save his father from that monster, even if it cost him his life.
Time slowed down.
And suddenly, Izuku Aizawa was running towards the 'Nomu'.
Hitoshi reached out his arm, but it couldn't reach him in time. Izuku had practically jumped out of the water and was running towards the very thing that was breaking their father's bones like twigs.
He had that determined look on his face. That one that meant he would do anything to save someone, even if it would cost his life.
Hitoshi hated that look. He saw it every time Izuku was going to risk his life, every time before he would get hurt. It was the same one he wore on the day he tried to save Katsuki from the sludge villain. And he hated it. It was like a love-hate relationship that wasn't really going to work out any time soon.
Izuku reached the monster and powered up One For All. He was sure it would push him away, at least a few feet. He just needed it to be pushed away enough that he could try and save his father, maybe take him to Tsuyu and have her wrap her tongue around him and carry him to safety.
But the punch did nothing. It had no effect on the creature.
The blue-haired villain laughed. "It seems that we might be able to get All Might here after all. If I killed one of his students, surely he would come to the rescue, only to discover he's already dead." He looked at Aizawa tauntingly. "Nomu, kill that brat."
Before he could react, the 'Nomu' grabbed Izuku by the head before throwing him full force at one of the far walls. Seriously, what was it with things throwing him into the wall of all things? He grunted as he landed hard on the ground, his mask landing a few feet away.
