Chapter-100

Author's POV

The dim light hanging from the ceiling was the only source of light in the dark room. The room smelled like blood and death. It was gruesome.

The atmosphere seemed unusually cold and his half-naked body writhed because of the chills.

He slowly peered open his eyes and the dim light welcomed him. The soreness in both of his hands gave him a hint of being tied up in the basement.

He looked up and noticed that he was tied to the worn-out iron rod. The chains were secured tightly around his wrist. He looked down and noticed that his legs were chained too. Not stretched but they were chained together.

He was only in his boxers. As of now, there were no visible wounds on his body.

He remembered seeing Leon and then his men drugged him.

He was waiting for Donovan. He looked here and there, but no signs of escape. There was no window. Escaping this place seemed near to impossible.

After what felt like hours, he heard the creaking sound of the iron door.

The bright light made him squint his eyes. He saw a few men entering the basement. Because of the bright light, he couldn't see them properly. But he knew, Donovan was the one who was leading the way.

As soon as Donovan stood in front of Chase, an evil smirk appeared on his lips.

Both of them stared at each other. If looks could kill, both of them would be dead by now.

" We meet again..." Donovan said breaking the icy silence. His voice was low and calm.

Chase didn't say anything. What can he say now?

Nice to meet you my rival.

He waved his two fingers and one of his men pulled out the chair for him. He sat on the chair and crossed his legs, like a fucking king he is.

They continued the staring competition. It was Donovan who looked down first. Not that he was intimidated but something caught his attention.

Donovan's eyes zeroed on his chest. The Rose tattoo captured his attention. It looked the same as the tattoo Rose had on her right rib.

Couple tattoo?

That thought alone made him mad. He fisted his palm and that's when Chase's eyes squinted to his right palm. There was a tattoo of Rose on his knuckles. Chase clenched his jaws looking at the tattoo on his hand.

" Leave..." He said, his deep voice resonated in the silent hall.

Leon, Felix and five other men left silently leaving the two of them alone.

" Where is my Rose?" Chase asked, urgency laced his voice. First thing first, he wanted to see her.

As soon as my Rose slipped out of his mouth, Donovan's anger skyrocketed. He wasn't just angry. He was jealous too.

But he controlled.

He cannot show that Rose is his weakness too. Or the game might change.

However, Chase noticed the glint of madness, jealousy flickering in his eyes. He knew something was up.

" There is no Rose..." Donovan said, his voice menacingly low. Chase's heart dropped to his stomach.

No, Rose...
