We had just entered the Rajvansh Palace when the first thing I noticed was Maa holding Vaahi's ear. "How could you lie to me?" she scolded, and I felt the urge to intervene and diffuse the situation. But Ruhaan held my hand, shaking his head.

"Sorry, best friend, but you'll have to fight this battle on your own," I muttered in my mind before Ruhaan dragged me away.

"Take it easy, tiger," I said as we hurried towards Wing A.

"Meera, this palace finally feels like home, now that you're here," Ruhaan said, looking into my eyes and making me smile.

There he goes again, saying stuff like that.

We finally reached our room and stepped inside, only to find it looking quite different. The mirrors, the sofas, the tables – everything had been changed.

"Ruhaan?" I called out, puzzled.

"Uh... like I said, anger issues, but I promise I've booked some sessions with Mrs. Trisha. It's twice a week, and she's a good psychiatrist," he explained, nervously awaiting my reaction.

The fact that he meant every word he said warmed my heart. He was trying, making an effort to change, and that's what truly mattered. I'll be there to support him through it all.

"Thank you," I said with a smile.

"Why are you thanking me?" he asked, looking slightly puzzled.

"For trying," I whispered back, and he nodded with a small, appreciative smile.

"Did you hurt yourself while you were busy demolishing the furniture?" I inquired, crossing my arms and wearing an annoyed expression.

"Nah, definitely not. Well, maybe a scratch, but I put a bandaid on it right away," he replied, a bit unconvincingly. I could see right through his lie.

"Liar," I remarked, and he just flashed me a cute smile before pulling me closer and enveloping me in a warm hug. Gosh, he felt incredible. His body was always so warm, and his cologne... let's not even get started on that.

His phone rang, interrupting our moment, and he grumbled curses under his breath as he reluctantly pulled away to check his phone. The caller ID displayed Vikram.
