Beth's Father (Quinneth/Fabrays)

                                    

                                          
"I wanna talk to you." Quinn began, joining her mother on the couch when she returned from tucking Beth in.
"About?" Judy encouraged Quinn.
"About Beth's father." Quinn blurted.
Judy looked at Quinn.
"We never talk about him." Quinn said.
"And there's a reason for that." Judy responded.
"Why? Because Daddy never wanted us to?" Quinn questioned Judy.
"Your father has nothing to do with Beth's." Judy insisted. "You were sixteen, and he was just some delinquent boy who got you pregnant. You chose that other boy over him. What was his name? Finn?"
"I was a child." Quinn stated. "I was terrified. Terrified of hurting my boyfriend or my baby, terrified of damaging my reputation, and terrified of what you and Daddy would think."
"I know, sweetheart." Judy nodded. "But there's a reason we left Lima when you got pregnant. Your father and I wanted you away from those distractions, those boys."
"People change." Quinn pointed out.
"It's only been two years." Judy reminded Quinn. "How much do you expect a boy to grow up in that time?"
"Enough to deserve the chance to prove he'd be a good father." Quinn said. "I never even gave him that, Mom. And that's not fair for Beth. She shouldn't have to grow up with one parent just because I was scared and you and Daddy were scared."
Judy didn't say anything.
"I called him." Quinn admitted.
"Quinny." Judy muttered.
"Beth deserves to meet her father, if she wants to." Quinn said. "I haven't talked to her about it yet. I was planning to soon."
Judy went to speak, but Quinn continued.
"I don't need your judgment, I need your support."
"I was going to say I'd like to meet him." Judy told Quinn. "Before Beth does."
"I'll think about it." Quinn said.
"You'll think about it?" Judy raised her eyebrow.
"I've been trying to handle all of this very carefully." Quinn clarified. "So I need to do what I feel is best for Beth."
"I'm only here for a few more days." Judy reminded Quinn. "So unless he's flying in tomorrow, it can wait until my next visit."
Quinn furrowed her eyebrow.
"Anything else, sweetheart?"
"That's it."
