~ Suguru
I'll be at yours for 20.00

You dropped your phone purposely onto the wooden table in frustration. The loud clang didn't go unnoticed by your senpais who shot a look to you and then looked at eachother to try and work out what the hell was wrong.
"S u g u r u" Shoko mouthed to the others. "Ohhhhh" they silently mouthed back before continuing on with their conversations.

You leaned your forehead into your palms and closed your eyes. When did things become so messy?

The funeral had been and gone, everyone had slowly returned to their normal lives yet it felt like your world was crumbling beneath your feet.
Geto had become increasingly distant with you and your friends and it hadn't gone unnoticed. He was skipping classes and when he did turn up, it was like he was vacant. A darkness loomed over him. Time was certainly not healing him.

"Guess who just got their school grant approved? Yep, me that's who! That Megumi kid is the spit of his dad though"
As per usual Gojo could be heard before seen. His booming voice echoed through the cafeteria as the door swung closed.
He neared his table of friends and noticed your disposition immediately.
"Pssst Shoko!" He quietly beckoned the petite brunette over to the lunch queue and she obliged.

"Is she ok?" The usual jokey tone to his voice had vanished with genuine concern lacing his words.
"It's still Suguru. She's struggling Satoru. This distance between them is growing, she cries every night. All I can do is cuddle her to sleep" she struggles to get the words out.
In all the years that you had been best friends, she'd never seen you the way you were now. "Why don't you ever call me?" He furrowed his brows in mild frustration.
"Because that's not a good idea Satoru. Oh I'll just invite Gojo round, y'know the best friend of your boyfriend. The one that loves you and there's some feelings between the two of yo..."
He pressed a finger against her lips to silence her. "Ok ok I get it"
He dipped his hand into his trouser pocket desperately fumbling around trying to find something. "I didn't just call you over here for that, I wanted to show you something"

His fingers finally grasped the object and he grinned that perfect smile of his. He pulled out a beautiful navy velvet box.
Shoko's face turns white for a split second as she mistakes the box for some sort of ring. "It's not what you think" he beats her to it.
He tenderly opens the jewellery box to reveal the most beautiful white gold choker. The metal wove seemlessly together with one end of the choker a dragon tail, the other end a dragon head. Most importantly the dragon's eyes were an intense emerald. Just like Catos'.

The chocolate haired females eyes light up, tears forming under her lids. "Satoru it's gorgeous". He nodded and snapped the box shut, stuffing it back into his pocket.
"I asked Yaga for some of Catos' ashes. He was reluctant at first but I persuaded him" he paused for a moment. "So yeah, I want to immortalise him for her. It's not to much is it?" He panicks momentarily.

Shoko shakes her head and he sighs with relief. "Did you liaise with Suguru about this?" She questioned. "No.. should I of?"
She half frowns at him, "Well it's quite an affectionate thing to do..." her words trail off. "Geto won't mind!" He protests.
"Have you actually spoken to Geto recently? He's changed Satoru.."

Gojo laughes and nudges Shoko's shoulder playfully. "You worry to much! This is Suguru we're talking about! I've known him for as long as I can remember, he doesn't have a bad bone in him"

"Ok well I'm heading out now. I bought you guys some microwave popcorn bags. They're in the cupboard if you fancy it"
Shoko points to the cupboard she left the treats in. "Thanks Shoko. Are you meeting that guy from our night out before?" Talking about her life was a happy change to talking and crying about Geto 24/7. She nodded and gave a gentle wave before hurrying out the front door.

It must of been only five minutes before there was a knock at the door. Your stomach knotted at the sound, you weren't used to feeling anxious around Suguru but the frequency in which you saw eachother and the atmosphere when you did put you on edge.

You made your way to the door and slowly opened it. The person in front of you didn't even look like your Suguru.

His medium-long ebony locks cascaded over his shoulders with only part of it tied in it's usual top knot. A deep grey sweater clung to his chest with light grey sweatpants covering his bottom half.
Deep purple circles engulfed his undereye, his skin much paler than usual. He honestly looked such a mess.

You both take a seat on the sofa, you grab a cushion and cover your chest with it defensively. "Um soo.. I ordered the pizza already. What do you fancy watching?"

"Do you ever just want the world to be just us sorcerers?" He stated flatly.
You took a moment to process his words. Where the hell was this coming from?

"Uhm.. I've never really thought about it.." you replied honestly. He brought his finger to his lips and contemplated your words. "Well now you've thought about it. What's your opinion?"
Five seconds was hardly enough time to think about it but your mouth moved before your brain could stop it.
"No. Humans are just as important and bring as much to the world as us Sorcerer's do"

His lips pressed together tightly. You noticed his face change from indifference to irritation.
"But those monkeys are the reason curses exist! No humans.. no curses. No more deaths like Riko and Haibara"

You flinched at the word monkey. This wasn't the Geto you loved. "Where is this coming from Suguru?"
His anger started to boil over, "Did you listen to a word I just said?"
For the first time ever, you actually felt frightened of him. "No humans, no more curses. We can live free. I don't have to worry about losing you or anyone"

Your head shook involuntarily in response to his argument. He stood up from the sofa and looked down at you before making is way to the front door and slamming it hard.
You sit in utter shock for a moment, tears streaming down your cheeks. You fumble around the couch trying to find your phone, it illuminated when your fingers touched it as you desperately dial Shoko.

"Shoko.." you choke. "Shoko I don't know what's happened.." the words barely escaping your mouth through the sobbing. "It's ok y/n I'll be home soon"
The call clicked to a close.

Shoko made an excuse to leave the table of her date. She quickly punches in a number and presses the phone up against her ear.
"So I said it wasn't a good idea to come over. Well yeah, she needs you more than ever now"

"I'll be there"

Satoru Gojo ended the call at 20.46
