Season 4/Chapter 1: Done Running

Start from the beginning

I wasn't strong enough back then... Clementine, seeing how I was feeling, did it for me and to this day I regret not doing it. She shouldn't have had to, but at the same time I'm glad she did. Soon enough, we met another group after that. Broken people, running from their past. A past we'd be wrapped up in one way or another whether we'd like it or not. I guess that's just how it works these days. There was Luke, Nick, Pete, Alvin, Rebecca, Carlos, and of course... Sarah. The youngest. She was a sweet, but fragile girl who wasn't made for the world the way it'd become.

Our time with this group was short, but during our stay Rebecca had a baby. Alvin Junior, named after his father. AJ made it, but Rebecca was just too worn out and passed away shortly after she gave birth to him. Soon, we started to take care of the boy alongside Carley, Molly, and Jane. But it didn't last. We were betrayed by our friends. Both Carley was killed by the man we had first let live while Clem was shot. Enraged, I murdered all of the ones who were involved. But as Carley laid dying she had no regrets.

As my flames settled, Carley was kept from turning by Molly. I was, once again, too weak to do it. Soon, as things got worse, Jane left AJ out in the snow and we'd thought that was it. We thought he was gone forever. That was the last straw for Kenny. And without Lee or the others around... It was a decision Clem and I had to make. Or so it would've seemed. Instead, I'd stopped Clem and chose to let things play out the way they were going to. Kenny kills Jane and when all seemed to be lost, we heard crying. It was Molly. She had AJ with her and it turns out Jane had hidden him to make a point.

Knowing what Kenny had done, we still decided to go with him since it was better for AJ's sake. Plus it's not like I could've played the high and mighty card. Not after all the sins I've committed. All the lives I've taken due to rage or something else. At the end of the day he was still family and you don't break apart family.
