13 The Chase

16 6 2

I feel it chasing after me,
The boulder rolling free.
And when I stop to catch my breath,
I see it brought upon my age's death.
My birthday, forever, a dreaded day,
Despite how young my face may say.
In my memories of my younger days,
I'm ignoring what the calendar says.
Darker days I've seen and had done,
But live my life I have begun.

Happy birthday they say,
And yet, there is no way,
That happiness is just for one day.
My time has come, carpe diem,
In this life, what I've achieved, is what I'll show them.

Eleven,
Ten,
Thirty,
Numbers I see that can be flirty.

Forget my age
Delete all footage
For today, Once more,
I'll be begin to explore.

Forget my age Delete all footage For today, Once more,I'll be begin to explore
