I hesitantly walked towards the kitchen in the Scott home, following the sound of Karen and May's voices. Please god, don't have Royal or Dan in their too.

"Oh, hi." Both women greeted me with smiles on their faces. "Hi." I smiled back. "I was just coming to check on Nathan." After everything from last night I figured it would be better to come here in person. I could always get more out of him face to face than I could over the phone.
"He should be down in a minute." Deb answered as she grabbed her purse off the counter.
"I'll see you at the cafe." She sent me one last smile before leaving.

"Are you staying for breakfast?" May questioned as she glanced up at me, she seemed so busy making everything from scratch by herself.
"Do you want some help?" I asked, walking further into the kitchen. "I couldn't ask-" May started, I didn't let her finish before I started to roll up my shirt sleeves. "You didn't ask, I offered." I pointed out, making her smile.
"One sec." I quickly made my way to the sink, washing my hands.

"So how long have you and Nathan been seeing each other?" She questioned as I started to mix the pancake ingredients together. "A month." I answered though it felt much shorter than that.
"And you love him already?" She gave me a teasing look, making me chuckle. "I was hoping no one caught that last night." I made a wincing
face. "But... yeah. I do." I admitted, making a huge smile take over her face.

"I don't know, I just... I've never felt this way before and I know people say that like all the time but I actually mean it. I've had a few boyfriends before but honestly... I didn't really feel anything for them but the second I met Nathan everything just changed." I bit my lip as I poured out my feelings. "That makes me so happy." May gushed. "Though it is strange to hear those words when it feels just like yesterday, I was changing his diapers." May chuckled.

"You know, when he was younger he wanted to be a dancer but Dan forced him to pick up that ball." May recalled, making my brows furrow.
"Nathan can not dance." I pointed out as we looked at each other. "No he can't." She shook her head, making us both laugh. "What's this?" Our attention snapped towards the entrance way as Nathan leaned against the frame.
"Breakfast." I spoke as I turned to the stove.
"Sit, it's almost done." I pointed to the chair at the counter before I started to actually cook the pancakes.

"I really like this one." May spoke quietly behind me, not thinking I could hear her. "Me too, grandma." Nathan whispered back, making my cheeks heat up. "This one likes you guys to." I glanced back at them before a motion in the corner of my eye made my head turn.
There goes our joy. "Dan..." May stared as Dan walked behind me, making his way to the fridge.
"Want any breakfast?" I could tell she was to afraid to bring up last nights dinner.

"Cooked by this one?" Dan pointed towards me before taking a sip of his water. "She'd probably poison me." He continued as I turned back to the stove. "Every time I see you, I plan another way to take you out. Poison is way less fun than my ideas." I shot back. "Amen to that." A familiar voice beamed in, making my head turn again.
"Morning." Keith and I greeted each other while Dan excused himself for a morning run.
