"We'll talk about it later. Your bade hukum's orders aren't needed to be discussed here. Now get me the details of the construction programme,"

He nodded his head and went away from there while Parth stood there filling in with the details of further meetings Ranvijay was supposed to attend today.

The whole evening went in doing the  work which needed his immediate attention such that he didn't notice for how long he stayed there to complete his work.

________________

It was almost at 11 at night when he reached home and as expected everyone was already in their rooms. Lights were glistening in the dark night brighting the dark corridor as Ranvijay walked directly to his room.

As soon as he opened the doors his gaze roamed all over the room examining the presence of someone specific who now seemed to have became a permanent residence here more than him. The woody smell of sandalwood and lavender filled his lungs as he breathed in the air which blurred his mind for a second before he composed himself and headed to the bathroom to freshen up ignoring the uninvited thoughts of someone

Changing into a fresh pair of white cotton kurta and pants he came out of his room. And at the same time a knock came on the door.

Ranvijay opened it to see a maid standing there with her head bowed.

"Hukum, the food is ready"

He frowned hearing her words, confused as to how they knew about his arrival because as far as he remember he didn't told about it to anyone.

Seeing the maid standing there waiting for his answer, he nodded his head dismissing her away.

Reaching the dining table, he sat there while a maid served him the food. However, she stopped midway putting the bowl back, she bowed her head and went away from there.

At first, Ranvijay couldn't comprehend this sudden behavior until he noticed the presence of another person behind him.

"What are you doing here at this time?"

He asked without turning around to look at her face but to confirm his thought she came forward and looked at him with a raised eyebrow and an surprised expression on her face. She couldn't understand with which she is more surprised, his question or how he recognized her presence without looking.

It shocked him equally as well as to how he could so easily recognize her presence when they haven't even stayed together for even a day properly to know each other at first place.

"I was waiting for you. How come you got this late?"

She replied his question before asking him.

Even though he heard her question still choose to ignore it and said irritated,

"You don't need to wait for me,"

"I know but thought to have food together," she said softly sensing the frustration evident in his voice.

Ranvijay stood up from his chair slapping the table with a loud thud, an action startling Disha though she was quick to compose herself.

"Rana–"

Her words halted in middle when Ranvijay stared back at her angrily. She couldn't comprehend what gets over this man that he suddenly changes his attitude in a flip of second.

Is this treatment specially for her or he is like this with everyone? She questioned herself but seeing the way how everyone is walking on eggshell in front of him she knew that he is like this with everyone.

"Listen to me very carefully... you have one duty and that is to take care of my family. There's no need to do all this in front of me,"

"You are family as well, Rana ji. There is no need for you to eat food alone,"

"I would rather stay hungry then have my food with you."

Ranvijay spoke in a rough tone filled with aggression.

Disha, however, choose to stay quiet not thinking the need to debate as it might lead to a further argument. And sensing, Ranvijay's behaviour any sensible person would recommend the same.

While Disha stayed mum Ranvijay infuriated more looking at her calm expression and strided directly to somewhere else leaving a confused Disha behind.

"Rani sa hukum, should I serve you?"

A maid asked distracting Disha's thoughts from Ranvijay to her.

"No need. Take it away."

"But–"

"I am not hungry so take it away,"

Saying this, she went away to her room as well avoiding the look on maid's face.

Here is another chapter for you all.

I hope the story is getting better by each passing chapter. I really am trying to give the best.

These days I am so confused. Exams are going on and practicals have also started but I don't even know a single damn thing, yaar....

Even my syllabus is not even half way complete and here I am sitting on my bed and writing this chapter.

Well this chapter was completed way before but I thought to wait for a few days before actually posting it. So, yes here it is.

I hope the wait wasn't too long.

Ok, now I don't know what to say but hope you all like it.

Thank you 😊
