It was the last day of them spending time at the hotel. Katherine was about to start getting ready for a nice meal that Smithy had organised, when someone knocked on the room door. Smithy was in the shower. She answered it, finding it was one of the receptionists standing there, holding a couple of dress bags.
"Miss Anderson?" She asked, smiling.
"Yeah" Katherine was confused.
"Your outfits arrived earlier. Sorry we haven't had the chance to bring them up sooner, we got a last minute party"
"Outfits?"
She handed them over to Katherine, smiled again, then walked away, leaving Katherine standing there holding them.
"Who was that?" Smithy's voice asked from behind her.
Katherine turned, finding him wearing his towel around his waist again, causing her heart to flip. She then closed the door, before walking in.
"Clothes, apparently, but I'm sure they have the wrong room"
Smithy was shaking his head.
"no, these are for us gorgeous" He reached out, taking hold of them. "I thought we could have our last evening here in style. So, with the help of Gina, I got her to send over a few things"
"Gina?" Katherine was shocked. "Picked out a dress for me?"
"Yeah" He grinned.
She was speechless.
Smithy looked at the tag on the top, finding him and then handing over her one.
"that's alright, right?" Smithy wondered.
"Yeah. I just didn't expect this"
"It's called a surprise beautiful" He said, getting closer and holding her.
Katherine chuckled, before turning around and heading for the bathroom, where she then hung up the bag, unzipping it.
Inside was a gorgeous black chiffon, full-length dress. Katherine took it out of the bag and looked at it properly, finding it was a backless, and low-cut. Looking at the size, she knew it would fit her perfectly, in all the right places.
Katherine then showered, and sat in front of the mirror, doing her hair, pinning it up and curling it a little, before applying a little makeup, before going over and putting on the dress.
She stood there in front of the full-length mirror, looking at her reflection. She couldn't believe how gorgeous she looked. and with her heels on, she would almost be the same height as Smithy. Carefully, she took a deep breath, then headed towards the bathroom door.
When she stepped out, Smithy stood up from the bed, looking over at her.
"Wow" He breathed.
She inhaled quietly, realising that he thought she was gorgeous as well.
"Is this okay?" She quietly asked.
"Alright?. I am having a hard time not taking all this back off you. Kat, you look stunning"
Katherine chuckled.
"And you look very handsome" She replied.
"We better get going, before I do start peeling you out of this dress" He shook his head, grabbing his wallet and phone from the table, then heading for the hotel door, holding out his arm for Katherine.
They were shown to a private section in the restaurant area, where they could see the small string quartet playing, and see the whole room around them, but nobody could see them.
