Rosie were ready in her dress when I come out to the living room.
"Papa... you look weird. Kinda gray." I guess I was too overwhelmed with everything that my blood were flush out from my skin.
I looked down at her.
"But I like gray." She assured me, smiling, nodding like I was a simpleton.
"Gray's one of her favorite colors." Earth reminded me. "Which is lucky because you're kind of that color right now."
Looking at him, his parents, Neo, all of them unconcerned, accepting, like all of this, me and Rose there with them, was totally and completely normal, settled me.
This was what family looked like, and I knew it because when Rose and I visited my parents, it looked just the same.
"Khaotung going to blow a gasket." I told Earth.
"He already did." He smiled, sitting back down at the table, pulling out a chair for me beside him.
"But that's okay, when I explain it all to him, he'll get it, he always kind of had a thing for me anyway."
"Really?"
He nodded, the wicked grin back in place. "Come here."
I walked over and sat down and got a kiss on the cheek as he poured me some coffee. Rose, without asking, crawled into his lap and started buttering toast.
"This is for you, Papa." She explained to me. "You never eat breakfast."
"And it's the most important meal of the day." Earth told her, supervising the use of the butter knife. "Nice smearing."
She nodded, tipped her head back, and kissed him under the chin.
"God." I couldn't help choking up.
"She's crazy about you."
"Course." He leaned sideways to kiss my temple. "She knows I'm crazy about her - and her Papa."
And he was.
"That's all that really matters."
So true.

At the wedding.
"This is so unfair." Mook continue to whine with the champagne on her hand.
I just smile with her comment as she was staring at my man with his daughter on his arm, somewhere near the banquet table. Once in a while I can sense his eyes were gazing on me, checking that I am still at my seat with all other Ciize bridesmaids.
"How to be you Mix?" Aye asked while grabbing my hand.
"I am pretty right, kind and sexy sometimes. But why didn't I have a Nanon or now that smocking hot daddy who can't seem to take his eyes of you all day." Aye explained with a pout.
"I don't know what you expect me to say." Truthfully, I am glad, but I won't discard all the hardship we've been through to reach the moment of today.
"Papa!" Rosie came to our table followed by Earth, few steps back.
"Yes baby." I pick her up and put her on my lap.
"Can I join the others kid with Aunt Pear for the rest of the day?"
"They said they got a play room for the kids and sleepover until tomorrow morning?" Earth explained. I do know that plan, Ciize arrange it so we all can party and enjoy the wedding without the need to worry for the kids.
