Katherine opened her eyes to the sound of her alarm clock going off beside her. She reached over, turning it off. The sun was shining and she found herself smiling, that she couldn't wait to get into work.
After showering, putting on her clothes, she headed down the stairs and turned on the kettled, about to grab some food, when the doorbell went. 
Katherine walked through, opened it to find a delivery guy standing there, holding the most beautiful and expensive looking bouquet of roses that she had ever seen.
"Katherine Anderson?" He asked.
"Yip" She smiled.
"These are for you" He grinned.
"Thank you" She took the flowers, then headed back inside.
Placing them onto the kitchen unit, she noticed the card in the top, pulling it out she looked at the flowers one last time, before opening the card.
Can't wait to see you.
It wasn't sighed, but Katherine smiled, assuming they had been from Smithy.

Katherine walked into the police station, finding herself grinning as she walked through the halls, passing people she knew, greeting them, before going into the locker room to change, finding the others already there.
"Morning" Katherine said, cheerfully.
"You're in a good mood. Someone get some action last night?" Emma asked.
"No" Katherine replied. "I'm just in a good mood"
She reached in, took out her shirt and trousers.
"Have you seen the new CPS lawyer?" Emma then wondered.
"I'm just in the station Emma, I haven't had the chance to see anyone" Katherine replied, as she slipped out of her jeans.
"Well, you are in for a shock. He is gorgeous. I mean, if I wasn't in a happy relationship, I'm telling you. I wouldn't hesitate. I have never know someone to look so damn good in a suit" She said.
"Yeah, I do love a man in a suit" Kerry chipped in. "Haven't seen Cam in one yet"
"A man in a suit is overrated. Don't you think?" Katherine replied, as she started to button up her shirt, thinking the way Smithy looked in just his jeans and a shirt.
"No way. A man in a good suit, that fits him perfectly, is just, wow"
Katherine used to think that, shaking her head.
"DS Hunter wears a suit; you must like him?" Katherine commented.
Emma chuckled.
"Wouldn't kick him out of bed" Emma replied.
This caused them to shake there head at her.
They walked along the hall, heading into the briefing room, her eyes quickly looking to the front, finding Smithy standing there beside Inspector Gold. His eyes quickly went to her Katherine who was following Kerry and Emma. She quickly caught his attention, seeing the corners of his mouth slightly turning up a little at her, trying his hardest not to smile back. He ended up lowering his head and looking at the sheets in his hand.
She sat herself down, looking at the floor.
"Looks like the sarge is in a good mood too" Emma whispered.
Katherine quickly looked over at her, wiping the smile from her face as well, before they realised what was going on.
"Right, everyone. We have a busy day ahead of us, and we are a little under staffed this morning, with people off. So, some of you lucky ducks will be going out with the sergeants today" Inspector Gold grinned.
