The most desired fields are always the hardest. They aren't what they are presented to be. The endless spotlights given to them cast a shadow over the difficulties that come with them.
In the medical field, doctors and nurses have grueling shifts. Dealing with horrendous patients, never ending shifts, sleepless nights.
In the teaching field, teachers deal with dreadful misbehaving students and even more horrible parents. Endless nagging from inferior caretakers that won't acknowledge their child's wrongdoings.
In the scientific field, engineers deal with lethal malfunctions of their own creations or creations they have contributed to. Scientists being exposed to deadly components that may lead to death or lifelong chronic illnesses.
In the aviation industry, pilots sacrifice precious time that they could spend with their families.
Last but not least, the entertainment industry. One that's glorified, painted with sparkles and colourful paint to cover the hardships that people endure during their time in the industry. Hidden with there toxic standards, always in the publics eye. Paparazzi following your every footstep. Being told that you aren't enough. That you are lacking something. Being told that you can't love who you want to because of the toxic people.
But, alas, they persevere until they fall.
Our four year hiatus comes to an end today. Being sheltered from the publics peeking eyes was a breathe of fresh air, a medication we hadn't felt for over a decade.
Our success was clowned upon, there were countless times we were considered old for not debuting as a minor in a toxic industry in which one had to fit into a set beauty standard. In one were one was considered old for not being under the young age of 16. We define that, we were different from the rest. Debuting as an all adult group, none falling into the standard set by the industry. Leading to us creating our own standard, one in which one wouldn't be discriminated for the features they were born with. One were we were endlessly bashed for being older. One in one will get hunted by the masses for dating someone. Even more if one dates someone of the same sex.
That was what I had been doing for countless years with someone present in the publics eye. One who was by my side at all times. Ones smile that lit my world up. The one who was the sun to my moon.
I took a deep breathe, her hand was in mine. Our eyes looked forward, the cries and chants of the audience grew louder. My fears of being forgotten subsided as my eyes set on the erupting crowd. Our lightsticks bounced in the air, creating a rising wave.
We stepped onto the big stage, thunderous roars of fans shook the venue. We stood a seat on the four designated seats.
"I say mama-mama-moo!" we harmonised after a long time of laying low. Smiles on our faces, the familiar feeling of being on stage.
"Since we are forgotten, let's reintroduce ourselves. My names jung wheein!" Introduced our pup, striking a pose.
"My names ahn hyejin!" Our shared baby said with a goofy smile on her face.
"My names moon byulyi." I said, flashing the crowd a deadly wink.
"My names kim yongsun!" Said my sun, her adorable smile on her face.
We spent countless hours recalling memories shared with our dear fans, putting on a show for them; One comedic, the other pure talent.
"A little birdie told me that yong had something to say," said the cheeky puppy. She prance around the annoyed yong.
I motioned my hand for her to start. We both knew that the secret would one day come out and when it did, we wanted it to be uttered from our mouth. Not another's. She took a deep sigh and turned to me. Her eyes sparkled under the spotlights.
"This may or may not come as a shock but byul and me are engaged. We wanted time to reflect on the years we had spent together; platonic or not. Hence, why our hiatus lasted so long." She said, tears formed in here eyes as she quickly flashed the engagement ring I had bought for her. She rushed over to me embracing me, her sweet aroma rose to my nose. I racked my hands in her silky hair.
The screams of the crowed enlarged to something we had never heard. Vivid cries of people saying they knew it all along.
Wheein and hyejin ran towards us, hugging us tighter. Warm tears fell from my eyes, I could feel yongs on my chest. I didn't have to look at the other to know whether they were crying or not as I knew that they were.
At last we had to send our regards for the day, "mamamoo will continue!" We screamed on the top our lungs, ending it off in another hug. I placed a kiss on yongs head, the screams increased once again. A smile formed on my face, knowing the 3 things I cherished was there with me;
Our fans,
Yong
and family.

I would probably be one of the people screaming their hearts out.
