"So you know that Elizabeth Bathory was my grandmother. Mirco was her close friend. I mean... before she did what she did. He saw her as a mother figure. I mean - that's what he said. He was also a good friend of my parents" I explained calmly.
Copia nodded and continued to listen to my story.
"When I was a few months old, the church found out that my parents were vampires. They had to run away. Hunters got my dad first. He sacrificed himself, so my mom could save us both. But my mom wasn't that strong. And she had to carry me all the way. She hasn't drunk any blood in a long time. She was so tired, she couldn't run away anymore. She hid me in an abandoned well and surrendered. The hunters killed her. A few hours later, Mirco found me. He took care of me and raised me. He told me this story when hunters found us for the first time. I was 8 back then. Luckily, we managed to escape. Then when I was 14..."
I felt like my brain blocked my mouth. I couldn't say a word. A tear fell down my cheek, but my expression didn't change.
"Lizzie?" Copia frowned worried. "Lizzie, are you crying?" he placed his hand on my cheek and wiped the tear away. "You don't have to continue the story, sweetheart."
I nodded and smiled.
"Thank you..." I said.
"It's time for sleep!" he smiled. "I hope you will like your new bed" he smiled awkwardly. "Bye!" he left the room.
I laid down on my bed and tried to sleep, but I heard a knock. I stood up and walked to the door.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Shhh... Open the door" said one of the ghouls I met today. I think it was the smiley one. I opened the door. I saw the smiley ghoul and the short one, I think his name was Sodo.
"What are you doing here?" I asked surprised.
"Party time!" said Sodo excited.
"Party time? But Papa told me to go to sleep."
"You don't have to listen to Papa every time, tho."
"Oh, come on!" The smiley ghoul grabbed my hand and led me through the corridors of the ministry, and the short ghoul closed the door of my room.
After a while, we arrived at door number 44. We entered. There were all the ghouls.
"Whose room is it?" I asked.
"Rain's" said Sodo. Rain waved at me shyly.
"So... We need to introduce ourselves to you!"
"Me first!" said Phantom.
"I know your name already. Sodo mentioned it before" I giggled.
"Oh, so you know mine too?" said the short ghoul with a teasing grin.
"Yes, but that's all" I said, giving back the smile he gave me.
"Okay" said the smiley one. "I'm Swiss, a multi-ghoul."
"Multi-ghoul?" I asked confused.
"Have you met any ghouls before?"
"No... I only met humans and vampires."
"So every ghoul has its element. I am so cool, I have them all!" he grinned.
"Okay. I get it" I giggled.
"I am multi-ghoulette!" said a tiny girl with a proud smile. "I'm Aurora"
"Nice to meet you. I like your nails" I said as I looked at her colorful nails.
"Well... Thank you" she giggled cutely.
"You're sooo colorful, Aurora" said Phantom with a smirk.
"We all are" she said playfully.
"Okay! I'm Phantom, quintessence ghoul. The funniest one" he grinned at me.
"The goofiest one, for sure!" said Sodo mockingly.
"At least I'm not a gremlin" he smirked.
"Idiot!" Sodo nudged his arm lightly.
"And you?" I asked, looking at Sodo.
"I'm Sodo. Fire ghoul, because I'm so hot!" he said flirtatiously.
I giggled.
"And so modest!" I said, and then looked at Rain - the ghoul I called handsome earlier. Good to know his name now. "And what's your element?"
"I'm water ghoul" he said softly and calmly.
"Oh, that makes sense. Your name is Rain after all."
"It's because he constantly falls" chuckled Sodo.
We all laughed.
"Well I like rain, it's my favorite weather" I smiled at Rain. Then I looked at a tall ghoulette that was dancing near the keyboard earlier.
"I'm Cirrus - air ghoulette" she said and gave me a charming grin.
"And I'm Cumulus - also an air ghoulette" said a short ghoulette with curly hair.
"Nice to meet you both" I smiled. "And you?" I looked at the tallest ghoul.
"I'm Mountain, my element is earth" he said with a calm and soothing voice.
"Oh, that makes sense" I said and giggled.
He chuckled quietly. He had a very beautiful laugh.
"So you have your elements since you were summoned?" I asked curiously.
They all went silent. After a moment, Sodo started:
"Yes" he went silent for a moment. "Except me."
I looked at him, completely shocked.
