Wednesday's POV:

As I enter my dorm I notice a lack of Enid's belongings on her side. I step closer to her bed, most of her things are gone. I sigh, realising she probably went to Yoko's for the night. I miss her already.

I walk to my side of the dorm, seeing Thing on my table.

"Thing." I say as I walk closer.

I proceed to sit down, he faces me. He starts tapping on the table and signing with his fingers.

"I have seen Enid's messages." I say, looking away.

He keeps signing.

"Yes, Thing. I have tried talking to her but she's busy with Ajax."

I keep watching him communicate with me by moving his fingers.

"I'm not going to call her." I groan. "I'd rather rip my eyes out."

I stand up and take my bag off, placing it underneath the table.

"I'm not being immature, I just need space from her. I feel vulnerable at the moment." I sigh in frustration. "I just confessed my non-platonic feelings for someone for the first time, Thing. I have no knowledge on how to act."

Thing freezes for a few seconds and then starts walking away in a fast, constant speed.

"Thing?"

He disappears from my vision.

I grab my phone from my bag and unlock it. I open my chats and see multiple unread messages and missed calls from Enid from 20 minutes ago. I guess she no longer cares. I open our chat, scrolling through all the messages. A specific text catches my attention, it reads, 'we need to talk, wednesday. i havent been sincere about my feelings'.

I feel the world stop for a second, I process the message and its meaning. My mind goes blank and I am unable to think about anything else but the message. I must know if what she meant corresponds with what I suspect.

I pace around my side of the dorm, thinking about my next move. Should I call her? Text her? Ignore her?

I grip my phone tighter as I get more anxious about this, incapable of calming down.

Knock knock.

I open the door, expecting to see a smiley blonde, instead I am greeted by a taller imbecile.

"Hey, Addams." Xavier mumbles as he sees me.

"Xavier," I mutter, "I didn't expect you."

"I'm sorry for the disappointment?" His voice gets higher by the end of the sentence.

"Enter – if you must."

He walks in and I close the door. I walk up to him, he stands in the middle of the room.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yeah, umm," he hesitates, "I know that you like Enid but-"

"Don't."

"Please, Wednesday, just one chance. That's all I ask."

I take a step back but he desperately walks closer. His eyes beg for me.

"Xavier, you know I won't give you a chance."

"But you would give Tyler a chance?" He scoffs in disbelief. "He tried murdering you, Wednesday. I was here for you since day one."

"You were not." I tilt my head to the side. "But Enid was."

He drops his hands to his sides, staring at me with an unreadable expression. He purses his lips, deepening his dimples. He turns away, he moves his hand behind his neck and takes a deep breath.
