Chapter-2 ~ Fireworks

                                    

                                          
"Finally! Saturday has finally arrived!", thought Loid as he woke up from his 'sleep', 'sleep' because he couldn't sleep much due to the sheer excitement he had for this day. He tried to console himself by thinking, "I'm just nervous because this day is very important for Operation-Strix, which is my most important mission." Although, the thought of him and Yor walking together and getting compliments that they were a cute couple in the fair made him even more interested. The same experience occurred with Yor, however, Yor was extremely nervous. She believed that if that day didn't go well, Loid would replace her with Fiona. To her, this was an actual mission that she had to ensure wouldn't fail. 
The day was pretty usual, Anya went to school and Loid and Yor went to work. Yor and Loid returned early from work and Anya went with Becky for shopping directly from school in Becky's limousine.

As a coincidence, both Loid and Yor returned home at the same time. "Good evening, Loid-san.", Yor greeted him. "Good evening, Yor." , replied Loid. Both of them seemed to put on a good act in front of each other, preventing each other from even getting a hint of nervousness. Both of them entered the apartment and went to their respective rooms to change. 
Loid wore a red plaid shirt with black bell-bottoms. He got out early and made tea for himself and Yor. Yor, on the other hand, took a little while more to get ready, mostly because she was finding the best dress to impress Loid. She ended up wearing a whitish-blue cut-sleeve dress spotted with yellow sunflowers. 
Loid blushed very hard when he saw her after she came out, all ready. "Y-Y-you look absolutely beautiful, Yor.", commented Loid. Yor was as red as a tomato, "You too, Loid-san", she said. Loid was amused, however, was in awe of her shear innocence. Seeing her in a new kind of way..... made Loid feel different, so different that he got hard right in front of her as her dress highlighted her beautiful skin and perfectly shaped and sized breasts. To avoid embarrassment, he stood behind the kitchen counter, to avoid exposing his lower body. Although, he did correct Yor on the fact that "beautiful" was a comment usually used to describe females. 
They had their tea and travelled to the fair using the local train.

They reached the fair in about 15 minutes, it was about 6:30 PM when they reached. The scene was indeed, quite beautiful. The matching colour of the sunset and the orange trees added to the wonderful scenery. The fair was well-lit and there were hundreds of people over there. There were families, young children, couples, teenagers, the elderly, all kinds of crowd. There were many stalls, games, rides and eating corners. There was also a special walking path surrounded by perfectly autumn-shaded trees with small lumps of fallen leaves on the ground. The atmosphere was marvellous! Yes, indeed, quite marvellous, however, it wasn't as stunning as Yor looked, in Loid's mind. Nothing was able to compare to that. "She was always quite pretty, but today..... today is hitting me different.... Nonetheless, I'm a spy and I must keep my composure and control my impulses. I can never let my guard down." , while this was going on in Loid's mind, Yor got distracted by a dart-throwing game-stall. 
"Loid-san, want to check out this stall?", she pointed towards it. "Sure, do you know how to play darts?", asked Loid. Yor was slightly caught off-guard as if she were to give it her all, she could've won the game with 100% accuracy due to her assassination skills, afraid of looking suspicious, she replied, "I once tried this game when I took Yuri to a fair, I think I remember what to do." Loid paid for the ticket and Yor got ready to play. She intentionally missed a little less than half of the total balloons and ended up getting a small prize. The thought of giving Anya that brown teddy bear and imagining her in joy made Yor very happy. 
The pair roamed around the fair and tried out many different games and were met with several compliments of being a cute couple, just as Loid had anticipated. It was getting late now, around 7:40 PM. Both of them sat at a nearby bench inside the fair and looked into each other's eyes. "Today was quite fun, wasn't it?" , asked Yor, hoping for an answer in the affirmative. "Yes indeed, very fun. You're an awesome person to spend time with, Yor. I wish we could do something like this more often.", Loid said with a slight smile. Yor's face was lightened up and she gave the most bright smile ever, even her eyes got wet after hearing what Loid had said. Suddenly, there were fireworks in the sky, huge colourful fireworks with many shapes. Whilst Loid was staring at the fireworks, Yor was busy staring at him... his eyes..... his serene, calm eyes. Now, they both looked at each other again, both realised that the fireworks in the sky compared nothing to the fireworks which were currently exploding in their hearts. Impulsively, they both got a bit closer towards each other and Loid's hand collided with Yor's. He was flustered, but he didn't feel the urge to remove it away quickly, so didn't Yor. They kept staring while touching hands with each other. 
Before the moment could transition into something more, they were interrupted by a squeaky voice, "Mama and papa are lovey-dovey!" , to which both of them screamed at the same time, "No, we're not!". Surprised to see Anya at the fair, Loid asked what she was doing there. "Anya and Becky were done with shopping and Becky's butler told us about orange park festival. Becky and Anya got here long time ago and we have fun.", Anya replied and with a smirk on her face, she asked, "What are Mama and Papa doing here without Anya? Why not take Anya along?". Yor chimed in and said, "Because we wanted to surprise you with this cute teddy bear we won for you!". Anya's face lightened up and she was jumping in joy. "Mama is the best! I love Mama a lot!" . Yor, again, in tears, "No Anya-san, you are the best!". Loid was more worried about his daughter's safety so he wasn't able to enjoy the moment, he was more worried about where Becky and her butler were. He asked Anya, "Where is your friend Becky and her caretaker?". "Becky and Mrs. Marriott are waiting by the car for Anya, Anya saw Mama and Papa and ran here to see them." Loid responded, "Well, it's not correct to keep your friend waiting. Why don't you, Becky and Mrs.Marriott accompany us for dinner?" "Anya will ask Becky", said the little girl and hopped off to her friend's car. 
The group had dinner at a nearby fancy restaurant. It mostly included Loid tactically trying to get details about new Blackbell projects  from Becky, without alerting Mrs.Marriot. Whilst Yor was staring at Loid the whole time.
