Chapter 7: Tonight's the Night

Start from the beginning

"So what are you saying?"

"I'm saying that you got the promotion."

"Really?"

"You'll still work the low-care patients, but you'll be spending a few days a week in the intermediate-care ward."

"What's the catch?"

"No catch. You've done good work, and that's being rewarded."

I'm not sure about JYP's motives, but this opportunity is too good to pas up. "Do you accept?" he asks me. "Of course I do! Thank you, JYP." , "Great. Now that I've done something for you, I think it's time you do something for me." He gives me a repulsive smile that's meant to be seductive as he touches his trousers. "JYP...how many times do I need to say no?" , "Until that no turns into a yes." he grins seductively. "Never going to happen." , "I think today's the day." He walks to the office door and locks it, turning back to me with a sickening grin. "There. Now no one will interrupt us." My breathing starts to quicken as I look at the locked door, memories of Jackson rushing back to me. I feel like I'm trapped in Jackson's basement all over again. I shut my eyes tight, trying to push away the memories and get control of my breathing. "Already getting worked up, huh? I can hardly wait, either. Come here, baby. I'm going to rock your world." This is enough. I will not let my shitty boss trigger me and treat me like I'm the office whore. I pull back my hand and slap JYP hard across the face with all my strength. SMACK! "Ah! What the fuck!?" he yells. "I earned this promotion, JYP. I'm not giving you anything in return." I shout. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Just...don't hit me again." , "Don't give me a reason to hit you again." JYP puts his hand up in defeat, backing away from me. "I'm going to get to work now. Are we going to have any more problems?" , "No, (Y/N). We're not." I give him a satisfied smile before unlocking the door and storming out of his office. I hide out in Bang Chan's room, trying to distract myself from my experience with JYP. "How are things with Ryan?" , "Just wonderful. This is the happiest I've been since my husband passed away. And the most action I've had." he tells me. "I'm happy you're happy Bang Chan." , "Speaking of which, I have a favor to ask. Are you going to see Changbin anytime soon?" I can't help but smile as I think about my plans with Changbin tonight. "Based on your expression, I'm guessing you'll be seeing him real soon." Bang Chan smiles. "We have plans tonight." , "Oh?" he gives a naughty smile. "Yes, but I've been sworn to secrecy, so I can't give you details." , "All right, I won't push. Keeping it a secret can make it hotter. Anyways, I was hoping you could give him this." Bang Chan hands me an envelope addressed to Changbin.

"I wrote Changbin a thank you letter for making Ryan and I's first date so wonderful with his specialty cocktail and all."

"He's going to love this. I've seen his sweet side under that gruff façade. A letter like this will make his day."

"I'd really like him to know his efforts were appreciated."

"Are you sure you don't want to give it to him yourself?"

"He already knows I have a letter for him, but I think sending you as the messenger will brighten his day the most. And get his engine revving."

"Bang Chan!"

"I'm just saying, I think that man would rather a hot young thing like you handing him a special delivery."

"You're nothing but trouble, sir."

"I'm too old to be boring. So will you give him my letter? He's expecting to receive it, and Ryan and I really want him to know how much his efforts meant to us."
