Cole went to help him, "don't worry I'm fine, just weak from sitting all day, do you want to go play video games?" Kai asked, "I thought you would never ask" Cole and Kai left the room and headed to the games room with Zane close behind. When they heard a motorbike and they knew it was Jay and Nya, they all hid in the closet room as not to be seen. They watched Jay walk Nya to her room and Kai took the first move, he walked up to him as Nya shut the door. "Ahem" Jay knew that voice and hesitated to turn around when he finally did Kai was staring at him fists turning into flames (iconic Kai moment) "o-oh hey Kai, how are you?" Jay said trying to change the subject.
Cole put his hand on Kai and Kai instantly cooled off, "look I'm not happy with you dating my baby sister, but, *sigh* as long as she's happy, it's fine. But I swear if you hurt her, your dead meat sparky, got it" Kai said, "yep got it!" Jay said as it being held at gun point. "Good, anyway wanna come play video games?" He asked, "yeah sure!" Jay agreed quickly, any chance he gets he will always say yes. Together the 4 ninja walked off towards the games room before being stopped again by there master. "Oh master what's up?" Jay asked, "Kai i may have found something for your little situation, follow me, all of you" master Wu said, "wait what's going on?" Jay asked, "I'll explain on the way" Zane said. They all followed him to the scroll room, which had a mixture of ingredients and tools displayed out along the round table.
"Uhh what is all this for?" Kai nervously asked, Wu could sense his distress and reassured him, "oh don't worry Kai, this tools wont be used on you, they are to help create this elixir for you to drink" Wu said. "Phew i was worried there for a second", they all gathered around the table and watched as Master Wu grabbed 1 ingredient at a time carefully following instructions laid out on a scroll next to him. Within minutes it was done, they last step was for both Elio and Kai to drink it. 
"Before you drink it, Elio must be here he also needs to drink it,Is he?" Wu asked, Kai looked around to no avail "no master, but i can go get him" Kai sat on the ground and began to meditate. "When you do bring him here and you both need to drink this at the same time" Wu said "ok I'm on it, this may take awhile guys" Kai's said before his pupils rolled back into his head and all that you could see was white. "Sooo, while we wait, how was you date Jay?" Cole asked, "I could ask the same thing about you and Kai?" Jay replied, "who told you!?", "Zane told me". 
Kai looked up and could see the same room he had just been in but, it was different. It was all red, and his body was still there, "I must have disconnected from my body, ok let's go find him". Kai began walking throughout the monastery checking every room, he soon found him sitting on Kai's bed. "There you are, there is good news, Master Wu has found a way for you to become a ghost and I wont die! Come on let's go!" Kai said to Elio. "But...I don't know if everyone else will be happy with that, they probably all hate me" Elio said still looking at the ground. "So what, if they don't like you, they will have to deal with me, and..... if you really don't want to be around me... you can go explore the new world" Kai said.
"What, you mean it! But i thought you wanted me to stay with you?" Elio looked up at him, "yeah but that sounds selfish of me, you should go and be free, as long as you come back to visit I'll be fine" Kai smiled. Elio hesitated, "hmm ok then, let's do this" Kai held his hand out and Elio grabbed it and they headed back to the scroll room. They got back and Kai jumped back into his body he looked around and saw the boys talking, "ok, I'm back and Elio is here to" Kai jumped up he looked at the boys. Cole was blushing and Jay was giving him a cheeky look "what's wrong with you?" Kai asked, "oh nothing, just gotta say you and Cole, such a cute couple" Jay said hiding behind Zane. Kai blushed and looked at Cole, "wasn't me, it was Zane" Cole said throwing Zane under the bus.
"Oh well it was going to happen eventually, just don't tell Nya, I want to be the one to tell her" Kai said, "ok" they all agreed. "Ok let's do this, you ready Elio?" Kai grabbed the cup with the strange liquid, Elio also grabbed one, but also didn't. The one he grabbed looked faded, like he had taken the everything but the physical form of the cup. "On the count of 3, 1..2...3!" Kai said and simultaneously they drank the liquid. 
Once that was finished they all looked at him waiting for something to happen, nothing. "Ughl that was not good🤢" Kai said when all of a sudden Kai started getting a massive headache. "Ow ow OW, what the fuck! My.... head.... hurtsssss" Cole rushed in to help his boyfriend. "OMG I can see Elio, he's becoming more visible!" Jay shouted. Suddenly the door swung open, it was Nya "hey has anyone seen Kai?" She said before looking at the site before her.
"WOW WHAT IS HAPPENING?? IS KAI OK?"Nya shouted, "every is ok Nya, Kai and Elio are separating because having Elio in his body was slowly killing Kai" Zane said bluntly, "WHAT!!", "it's ok Nya, Kai is going to be ok" Jay said comforting her. Elio was slowly becoming more and more visible, but with each passing moment Kai's headache was getting worse and worse, the only thing keeping Kai awake was Cole holding onto him and letting him squeeze his hands (Kai squeezing Cole). 
Eventually it stopped and Elio was finally a ghost, and Kai was back to having his body to himself. "Omg Kai you did it, I can finally be seen!" Elio proclaimed, he went to hug him only to fall straight through him to the floor, "dude, ghosts can't touch people" Kai laughed. "Noted, hey thank you, for everything" he thanked, "hey we're family, family helps family, oh I forgot to tell you, Nya this is our 1000x grandpa" kai said still sitting trying to recover his strength. "Oh that's so cool! It's nice to meet you grandpa? Or pops? Idk what to call you haha" Nya said, "pops would be nice" Elio smiled, "pops it is!" Nya proclaimed.
Elio continued to chat to Nya, Jay and Zane, while Cole an Kai stayed on the ground. "Are you ok Kai?" Cole asked, "yeah, just a bit fuzzy, but I'm fine". 
Fast forward to 2 months later
Elio was gone, off exploring the new world around him, Kai had told Nya about him and Cole and Nya and Jay started dating, and Zane continued to third wheel them all. Everything was going well, they all became the protectors of Ninjago city and went off the become great hero's.
