Midnight: Teams, please prepare yourselves, as the games about to start!
We looked between each other and nodded, understanding what to do before heading out to our post. I made it to the main entrance point and stood guard by it while both Akiko and Ayumi stood guard by the flag. As for the rest of the team, they soon found their own hiding spot located within the maze. Once everyone got into position, Aunty Nemuri's voice rang out through the area.
Midnight: Let the games...
(Hanabi POV)
I was standing ready with my team at the main entrance to the maze, as we were waiting for the game to start. (Author: FYI Hanabi is on Team B) Soon enough, Midnight's voice rang out through the area.
Midnight: Let the games...... BEGIN!!!!!
With that confirmation, we all went full sprint into the maze. Entering, it quickly became clear to us that finding the center of the maze would be quite tricky. The reason is that the maze walls were too tall for us to see over, making it hard to make out where the center was, and difficult to see where our objective was located. Continuing down the path, we encountered our first obstacle. In front of us, the path splits in two different directions.
Satsuki: What do we do?
Kenji: We split the group in half, and then pick routes to take.
Then a member from Class B asks a question.
Class B #11: What if it leads to a dead-end captain?
To which he answered.
Kenji: You are to backtrack the way you came from and head down the other route, so you guys can regroup with the other. This way we can cover more ground and better to figure out this maze in the shortest period of time. Not to mention, the extra amount coming to the other group can be a form of backup, in case there was an ambush for those people.
Everyone nodded their head, understanding his logic. With this plan in mind, we then split the group in half and chose a path to take. I followed Kenji's group, as we took the route on the left, as our choice. After making it down a few more turns we came to a problem. As the person in front turned the corner, they were bombarded with paintball, instantly eliminating them from the game. See this happen we stopped in our track, taking cover by the corner. Think fast, I used my quirk to create a small ice wall, creating a cover for us to use.
They began shooting at the wall as we crouched down behind it. As soon as the shooting halted, Hiroki took this as an opportunity, stood up, and started firing paintballs at the shooter. With the help of his quirk, he controlled the paintballs themself and made it so that each one of them hit their mark, eliminating the shooters. Once the shooters were down, we progressed onward through the maze. As we moved further along, the sound of an explosion went off in the distance, followed by an announcement, stating that three of our teammates had been eliminated by a paint bomb.
Hanabi: You've got to be kidding me, they set up traps!!!
Now knowing that the enemy had set up traps, we were moving at a much slower pace, so as to not run head-first to our own demise. Still progressing onwards, more announcements were made, detailing events of people getting eliminated from the game. As it stood, more than five people were eliminated from our side, while four had been eliminated from their side.
Class B #17: TAKE COVER!!!!
Soon enough, we began taking cover again, as the area got pelleted by paintballs. There were three shooters this time, all of whom were peeking above the tire walls. Due to the sudden attack, I was shot twice, however, that meant I was still in the game. Once the shooting slowed down we took the offensive and started firing back. As we were now on the offensive, more members of our team soon showed up and assisted us in eliminating the shooter. Though we eliminated them, we still lost two of our own.

As I was waiting for the enemy to come, I noticed that most of Team B members were eliminated from the game. (Author: As it stands seven members from Team A were eliminated, while eight members were eliminated from Team B)
Y/n: Once the remaining four are eliminated, that means we automatically win for this round.
Still on guard, I waited patiently for their arrival. Not even a minute later, I had caught a glimpse of the enemy up ahead. Now that they were in the open, I opened fire in their direction. Seconds later an announcement was made.
Midnight: Class 1-A's Hanabi Yaoyorozu has been eliminated from the game!!!
With that, I had successfully eliminated Hanabi from the game, making it one less person from their team. However, that was short-lived as an intense white light quickly engulfed my vision, essentially blinding me. After a bit of time, I was able to regain my vision, only to find the barrel of a paintball gun right at my chest.
Kenji: Game over my friend.
Just as I was about to question him, an announcement was made.
Midnight: Team B has successfully captured the flag, making them the victors of the match!!!
Hearing the announcement made me look back only to see Shiro holding our flag in her hand. Seeing this I lowered my head in defeat.
Kenji: (*extends a hand out to me*) Come on dude don't go moping on me like that. Remember you did well yourself, to the point where I would say, it was a close 50/50 situation for both of us. So don't beat yourself up too much on this loss as their always a next time.
His words made me feel a little better about myself. He soon extended his hand closer to me, a sign that he wanted to help me get up to my feet, to which, I accepted. Once back on my feet, I quickly congratulated him on his victory. Soon enough the maze wall sunk back into the ground thanks to Cementoss's quirk.

Author: And this chapter is done. I hope you guys enjoyed my take on the second event. Though I'm still not sure if it is good so, feedback would be very much appreciated. Now an unrelated should I skip the fight and just go straight to the semi-final to skip some boring part or not? Anyway, with that said and done here are some notes for the chapter.
A/n (1): The reason for the light blinding our cinnamon roll was due to Shiro using her quirk [Light Show] to basically light her up like a Christmas tree.
