Rory's POV-

The holidays went by quickly. April and Joey got married 2 weeks before Christmas. The next thing I knew it was the twins' birthday. Logan and I weren't gonna have a party for them because frankly they aren't going to remember it, or even know that it's their birthday, but we did have some family over, and we were gonna give them cake.

It felt like over the last 2 months they grew a ton. They could both say mama and dada. Aria would say no and bye bye, and Willow said no and uh-oh to literally everything that happened. They could also both walk, which was very stressful. Not only were there 2 of them walking around without a single care, but we had stairs in our house. We had baby gates on the stairs, but I was always worried that someone would leave it open.  They also still looked completely identical. There wasn't a single physical difference between them.

We kept the it really simple. It was in our house, just family. My mom, Luke, April, and Joey all came early. I was in the kitchen with mom and April, drinking coffee. Aria kept trying to grab my coffee. "You can't have this"

"No no no" Aria shook her head

"That's right. No no no" I said and moved the cup to where she couldn't reach it.

"Where's Tori?" April asked. "I haven't seen her"

"She's downstairs"

"Logan set the bar really high with that basement" mom said.

"You know he didn't tell me what he was doing?Just that he had a really good idea for the playroom and he wanted it to be a surprise" I told her. "Tori could literally spend hours down there though. She loves it. Here baby" I handed Ari her sippy cup that is just filled with water.

"Joey told me that he wants to do something like that for our kid, so I-" April stopped talking mid sentence. I was pretty sure that she just told us something she didn't mean to. "You didn't hear that"

Mom laughed. "No, we heard it"

"April..."

"Just don't tell anyone, ok?" April said. "We don't wanna tell anyone until after the first trimester"

"Luke is gonna freak out" I said

"I'm 28 years old" April said. "What's he gonna do? Ground me for having a baby?" She asked. "After I got married, I might add"

"I meant in a good way" I told her.

"Oh"

"Oh my god, I'm so excited!" Mom squealed. She loved babies. Especially when they were her grandchildren.

"Excited about what?" Luke asked as he walked into the kitchen, clearly having heard some of the conversation.

"Nothing" mom said. "Twins birthday"

"Is she being weird?" Luke asked

"Not any weirder than normal" I said

"Ok...Logan's looking for you" Luke said. "He's in the living room"

"Ok"

Around 9:30 I put the babies down for a nap and then the rest of us just hung out in the living room.

"I don't think it's fair that they have to nap on their birthday" mom said

"They need a nap mom" I said. They actually needed 2 but that was irrelevant at the time.

"I'm baby deprived"

Tori giggled. "That's funny"

"How do you guys like living in Stars Hollow?" I asked. April and Joey moved there after they got married.
