After the completion of constructing their own lightsabers, the younglings returned back to the temple to rest for the night. The next day, they were brought to the training room where they would be training to learn how to wield their lightsabers in combat.
Xander: Alright! It's about time I get to learn how to swing this bad boy! I've been dreaming of this day for the longest!
He exclaims excitedly. Beside him, Geru growls softly in agreement. He to was ready to learn how to fight with his lightsaber. To learn how to protect others, and protect his people.
Xander: I can agree with you on that big guy.
He replies.
Standing over by the wall, Izuku stood holding his lightsaber in his hand. As he stared at it, he couldn't be more excited about how he was finally going to learn how to use it. To fight like an actual Jedi.
Izuku: "I'm one step away from being a Jedi. I promise Mom, Dad. I'll make you both proud."
He thought, his heart and mind both set on making his family proud as he grips the lightsaber handle.
Kokka: Hey, Izuku what you thinking about?
She asks walking over.
Izuku: Oh, I'm just thinking about my parents. Before I left to come here, I made a promise with my mom and dad that I would come and learn how to be a powerful Jedi.
Kokka: So, you really do miss your parents.
Izuku: Yeah, my mom she used to take me on rides with my dad around the city back at home. Then our service droid, her name was I-C4B3 but I usually just call her B3. She made our-my favorite food. Katsudon.
Kokka: Katsudon? What's that?
Izuku: Ooh, it's so good. It's made out of fried, panko-breaded pork cutlet with egg over rice and some of my mother's traditional sauce added to it to add flavor. You have to try it...though that's if I ever get the chance to get similar food like it to cook or if we can get it transported here.
He says shyly, remembering how that he is now in space and isn't on earth. The thought of earth reminded him of everyone he left back at home. His parents, his friends, all of those he cared about. People he cherished in his heart and are the motivation for him to continue moving forward.
Izuku: Hehe, that's why I want to learn how to become a Jedi and protect those I have back at home. I can't wait to savor the taste of some good fashioned Katsudon. Mmm~.
Kokka: Well, hopefully someday I can experience it. I'm sure it will be great to try some of your planet's food. Though having a family to share it with is not something I won't be able to experience.
She says sadly, Izuku notices this as he looks at her with concern.
Izuku: What do you mean? Don't you have a mom and dad? And what about Ahsoka isn't she like your cousin?
He asked.
Kokka: My Mom and Dad were killed by some greedy hunters that came to our planet and wanted to get their hands on some important treasures that belonged to our family. I...was the only one to survive. But if it wasn't for the Jedi finding me, I probably would have joined my late mother and father.
She reveals to him about her past.
Kokka: Ahsoka is, how others would say, a distant relative. Sure, she is family, but I didn't get to know her until after my family died. She was sort of like a stranger, b-but I didn't want to see her that way. And when I got here all I hoped for was a change and that I could be strong enough to make that change.
