Rory's POV-
One Thursday, in the middle of January, Logan and I got up like always. We got up, got dressed, and then Logan made breakfast while I got Tori ready for preschool. That morning was probably the first in a really long time, that I actually had to wake Tori up. Usually she came into our room before we even got out of bed, but there were times that she slept a little later in which case were woke her up.
After walking Tori up, and some snuggles, I got her dressed.
"What do you wanna wear?" I asked her.
"Sister shirt!"
"Why am I not surprised?" I ruffled her hair. "Jeans or leggings?"
"Leggings"
I got Tori dressed, French braided her hair, and then we made our way to the kitchen for breakfast.
I was sitting at the table with Tori, while she ate breakfast and Logan was making her lunch. "What do you want in your lunch, munchkin?"
"Fishies" Tori said. That girl could live off goldfish crackers if we let her
"What else?"
"Fishies" Tori said. She was still struggling with the idea that she needed a real lunch do go with her snack.
"Ok, I already put the fishies in your lunch box, what lunch food do you want?" Logan asked.
Tori thought for a minute. "Broccoli, and grapes, and pb and j"
"Done" Logan said.
"Logan, you have to-"
"Cut the grapes" Logan said before I finished my sentence. "I know"
"Thank you"
An hour later, I was back home after dropping Tori off at school. Later that morning (around 11) Logan and I were both sitting at the kitchen table. Logan was working and I was working on my next book. This would be my 10th one, and I was hoping that it would be released by the end of the year.
Logan's POV-
I was sitting across from Rory at the table. We were both trying to get some work done when she called my name. "Logan?"
"Yeah?" I asked, without looking up from my laptop.
"Logan" she said again.
I looked up at her. She's looked nervous. "What's wrong?"
"I think my water just broke"
I could feel my heart in my stomach. Rory was only 34 weeks pregnant, so we were expecting to have at least 2 more weeks. Not only was I not mentally prepared, but I wasn't actually sure how safe it was for them to come out that early. "What?"
"My water broke"
"Um...ok. What do we do?" I asked. Maybe a stupid question, but I'd never done this before and Rory had, so she knew the drill.
"Hospital"
"Right. Good. Let's go"
We called Lorelai from the car. "Logan?"
"It's both of us" Rory said.
"What's going on?" She asked
"My water broke, we're headed to the hospital. And I really need you to tell me that you can get here in time to pick up Tori from preschool"
"Yes, absolutely" Lorelai said
"Thank you"
"Are you ok? You sound ok?"
