Taylor POV
Joe. I saw Joe. "Char? I'm gonna go use the bathroom, could you go play with the cats over there for me please?" I asked her and she nodded, despite being confused and obligied. Once I got to the bathroom I messaged her saying the truth "I saw Joe, aka my ex. It's not that I'm embarrassed of you I just don't trust him to keep a secret." I typed out and sent. I got a response pretty fast. "Baby, I understand don't worry. And I saw him too. Didn't quite place the face till you said it but I recognized him." We continued the conversation for a while before I decided to just brave it. Surely he was gone by now. However when I walked back out Charlie was cuddled into a calico cat, my ex boyfriend now holding Regina. Didn't I arrange for this place to be empty? "Joe." I spoke in greeting. He simply gave a nod in acknowledgment. "Hey Char. Who's this?" I asked and she giggled; the angelic sound echoing in my mind. "This is Taylor." She held up the cat to me. "Well hello me." I grabbed the cat, holding it to my chest, ignoring Joe. "Are you guys here to hang out or....oh please don't tell me your a" he spit out the word, Charlie cringing visibly and me internally. "1.) never EVER call someone that word, and second Charlie and I are here to hang out, although it's none of your business." I was pissed. "Taylor? I think it's time for me to head home, but you picked me up since my car is in the shop so...." She trailed off the lie. I nodded, flipping off Joe under the table and leaving with Charlie, fighting the paps again. As soon as the door shut I kissed Charlie's cheek. "I'm so sorry about that. I swear I arranged for the place to be empty." I sighed and Charlie shook her head "Babe it's fine. Don't worry. Even though he's an ass I know you can't control when he shows up somewhere. Can we just cuddle and watch a movie when we get home?" Charlie asked and I nodded "Whatever you want darling." I told her, looking at her adoringly. That's when I noticed the car stop. When we hadn't moved in a few minutes I knocked on the plastic between the front and backseat. My driver opened it up "Hey, just wondering if there's traffic?" He sighed "Paparazzi keep blocking the car. Sorry about stopping, just don't wanna hit anyone. From what I can hear they are going crazy because Mr. Alwyn was in the cafe too." The driver spoke. "Thank you Alexander sorry to bother you." I flashed a smile which I knew he could see through the mirror, shutting the plastic and leaning back in my seat. "Tay? Why did you sign up for this? I mean they practically hunt you. Fans waiting outside places they know you'll be, paps circling the car, why did you choose this?" "Honestly, I try to ignore that part of it. I signed up to do what I love, to share it with other people."
Hi all! From one swiftie to another Can we all agree not to stalk Taylor? She's a human like us, waiting outside her studio or outside a wedding is sickening. But, back to the story. Although I'm betraying Joe as a not very good man I am in no way implying that he isn't a good man in real life. I am not Taylor nor am I Joe, I don't know what happened in their relationship and betraying him this way is for the purpose of this story. Suggestions? Opinions?
