Y/N worked with Oswald Cobblepot. She was one of Falcone's most prolific assassins, and the most trusted. It had been a few months since Y/N started working with Oswald, and now people were starting to consider them a couple. While it wasn't official, Y/N understood why they'd think that. Oswald spent more time with her than he did with his own mother, and confided in her with things he didn't even bother to tell Don Falcone himself. Not to mention he'd been getting a lot more... physical lately.

Wrapping his arms around her, placing his hands on her lower back, playing with her hair. Y/N didn't mind it, but when Oswald did it in front of Falcone's men, it was embarrassing.

Most of the time, Y/N stayed with Oswald at Fish Mooney's old club, so she didn't have much time to herself. But one day, Oswald had to take Bullock and Gordon to a place that would help them gain leverage over Commissioner Loeb. They left her at the club, figuring there was no need for her, much to Y/N's delight.

She decided she was going to take the time to visit her best friend Edward Nygma.

Y/N and Edward had met when Y/N had to carry out one of her very first tasks for Falcone at the GCPD. A piece of evidence had been left behind at a murder that Falcone committed, so Y/N had to sneak into the GCPD to retrieve it from the evidence room.

Edward had walked in on her just when she was about to leave, but he ended up letting her go because she charmed him into it.

After that, Y/N found herself going to the GCPD more often, whether she was tasked to, or it was just reconnaissance. And every time, she ran into Edward Nygma. The two became fast friends, especially when she started helping him try to win Kringle.

That was one of the reasons Y/N was going down to the station today, to see how things were going on the Kringle front. Edward had told her that Kringle's old boyfriend, Flass had been taken to Black Gate, so she was now available.

Y/N couldn't help but be a little annoyed at Ed's obsession with Kringle, she wasn't even that into him anyway, but Y/N tried to remain supportive all the same. She kept this in mind as she walked into the station and looked around for Ed.

She found him with some flowers in his hand, approaching one of the officer's desks. She wondered why, that is until she saw Kringle sitting there with one of the officers in the station. Frowning, Y/N ducked behind a pillar to watch.

"Hello, Ms.Kringle. I was wondering if you had any dinner plans tonight?" he said with a charming smile.

Kringle's smile faltered as she turned to Ed. "I'm sorry Ed, I actually do have plans, with Tom here. Have you met Tom?"

Y/N's heart sank for Ed as Tom stood to shake Ed's free hand. "You're the riddle guy, right?" he asked. "What has hands, but can't clap?"

Y/N scoffed. "A clock," she whispered at the same time as Edward said the same to Tom. Y/N shook her head. Kringle's taste in men sucked. Tom was, at the very least, an idiot.

Tom laughed. "Hey, this guy's good!"

Kringle awkwardly laughed along with him. "Well, we'd better get going."

"Yeah, congrats," Edward mumbled as the pair walked off.

Y/N's heart went out for the poor man. She couldn't stand to see him look so broken. She slipped out of her hiding place and went over to Ed. Since she had come directly from the club, she was still in her cocktail dress, which happened to be in Ed's favourite colour.
