AN: I just realized that I haven't written Lane into the story at all. She's still around, there still friends, she testified for Rory in court.

After court I was drained. I fed Tori dinner and gave her a bath, before sitting on the rug with her for a little while. Around 7:20 I was in the kitchen, holding Tori, and making her a bottle when there was a knock at the door.

"Let's go see who it is"

I opened the door to see Logan. He held up a paper bag. "Comfort food"

"We're not talking about court" I told him. I don't know why, but I was embarrassed. Everybody knew now. My parents, my grandparents, my friends, some of the people I work with...they all knew.

"We don't have to. I just happened to know that Tori's going to sleep soon and I thought you might not want to be alone tonight. You had a rough day"

I couldn't help the small smile that appeared on my face. He was sweet. I didn't want to be true but if I was being honest with myself, I definitely had feelings for him.I wasn't gonna act on those feelings though. We were friends, I didn't want to ruin that. And I was a single mom, I didn't have time for a relationship. "Come on in"

"Hi Tori" Logan said. "How's it going?"

It was sweet that Logan talked to her as if she was gonna have a conversation with him.

"No no no" Tori babbled and shook her head.

I chuckled a little. She answered every question with 'no' and I think it's hilarious. "I'm just gonna put her to bed and then we can hang out"

"No rush" Logan said.

Logan's POV-

Rory and I were sitting on the carpet in her living room, eating mac and cheese. I don't know why we were sitting on the floor, but it was actually kind of fun.

"And then Finn spent the rest of the day with a diaper on his head"

"In public?" Rory asked

"Yup. The difference between that guy in college and that guy as a father is like the distance from here to the moon" I told her. Finn had changed a lot in 10 years. He was a great husband and a great father.

"It's still so weird to me to see him as a parent"

I chuckled a little "It's weird for everyone"

We decided to watch a movie. We were sitting on the carpet, leaving against the couch, watching 'Gremlins'.

"What doesn't this guy not understand about 'don't feed them after midnight'?" Rory asked. "And poor little Gizmo, he looks so scared"

I couldn't deny it anymore. I definitely had feelings for Rory. And the fact that she has a kid should've been reason enough not to pursue it, but it actually didn't bother me. I knew she probably wasn't in the same place as I was though. If I thought she was, I'd have made a move months ago.

"It takes a special kind of person to feel bad for a fake creature in a movie" I said.

"Good special?"

"Yeah" I nodded. We both turned back to face the tv. "Hey Rory?"

"Yeah?" She turned her head to face me.

I don't what came over me, but before I could stop myself, my lips were on hers. It was quick, and I didn't mean to do, but I did. "I'm so sorry, I-" I was interrupted by Rory pressing her lips against mine.

"Don't be"

Rory's POV-

I woke up before Tori which wasn't uncommon. It took a moment but when I finally remembered that I wasn't alone in bed, I was mortified. Maybe it was Logan or maybe it was just the fact that the last time I had sex, I got pregnant.
