A/N: mentions of SA and overdose warning

Seonghwa

Hongjoong picked me up and took me home. I made sure to text all of my friends and let them know how sorry I was, but I just wasn't feeling up to party.

The weekend went by really quickly and I found that when school rolled back up, I was so tired.

My mood was raised a little though when I saw HaJoon and Hwayoung at school that morning. I was glad that HaJoon was back and he could come to class.

The thing that caught my attention however was Hwayoung kept her head down and her hood up the whole class. Which was fine. I usually didn't mind if students had their hoods up or had their head down, but it did get me a little worried.

While everyone was working on their work and she hadn't touched hers, I walked in front of the desk, crouching down and lowering my voice, "Hey, is everything okay?"

She didn't answer.

I frowned, wondering if she fell asleep so I gently shook her shoulder but she didn't move.

"Hwayoung?" I asked, growing more concerned.

Ignoring the disrespectfulness of my actions, I picked her head up so I could look at her face.

"Hwayoung?!" I leaned her back in her chair and opened her eyelids as I checked her pulse. She was still alive. "Did you OD?" I breathed, going to my cabinet and grabbing my emergency kit.

At the same time I pulled out and dialed 911, walking through the steps as I administered the medicine.

"What's going on?!" One of my students asked but I was too busy.

I stayed by her side, her eyes fluttered open slightly and she groaned. I rubbed her back soothingly. "It's okay, just stay with me, okay?"

She pouted, "I'm sorry, Seonghwa." She slurred drowsily. "I really did try."

I frowned, pushing her hair back. "I know your did, you're so strong."

She was so out of it and her eyes fluttered closed again.

"Hey, stay with me. I need you to stay awake." I said.

"I'm wake-" She mumbled.

Paramedics came into my room and immediately took action to get her to the hospital.

"I'm going with her." I said, not giving them room to argue.

She was a minor, so she did need someone. As they were wheeling her out on a stretcher, I paused by the science teachers room.

"Can you watch my kids for a minute? I have to go the hospital." I said and she nodded, looking at her own class.

"Okay, go. I'll be here."

I gave her an appreciative smile before running after the paramedics and getting into the ambulance with them. I had to sit in the front seat because unlike movies, they didn't have enough room in the back to sacrifice space when they needed to save a life.
