Once YanLi arrived at the Cloud Recesses, she requested for an audiance with Lan XiChen. She just hoped that this time she will get permission to enter the Cloud Recesses or atleast for them to accept their help. XiChen upon informed about their arrival, immediately went to receive them. Even though he came back to his work, he still worried about his little brothers.
WangJi has not moved from his husband's side. It took great efforts from XiChen to atleast convince him do his daily activities. He eats very little, he barely sleeps. XiChen worried for WangJi's health as well. There is no progress from WuXian either. Their only hope now is Jiang siblings. So when he was informed of YanLi's arrival, a small hope bloom in his heart. He rushed to the gates not even bothering about any rules.
XiChen: " Young Maiden Jiang, Young Master Jin, please come inside. Let's talk inside."
Upon exchanging greetings, he directed them to his office room. He offered them tea and refreshments before inquire about the antidote.
YanLi: " Thank you for letting us in sect Leader Lan. How is Axian?"
XiChen: " He is still kept in coma. There is no improvements. There is nothing we can do either until we prepare the antidote. Maiden Jiang, did you get the lavender lotus flower? Please don't say no, you are the only hope for us."
YanLi: " I'm sorry Sect Leader lan, the only place where we can find lavender lotus is my mother's private garden."
At that XiChen inhaled sharply, for some reason he guessed the fate of those flowers. His hope is crushing and he is fearing the worst. Upon sensing his distress YanLi hurried to reassure him.
YanLi: " but we know where we can find those flowers. The origin of those flowers is quaisi mountain region of YunMeng. Acheng is on his way to get those flowers for us. I can assure you Sect Leader Lan.  He will definitely get those flowers for Axian. Meanwhile I researched about the poison and how to prepare the antidote. I even collected all the required herbs as well. We just need to wait for Acheng to bring those flowers."
XiChen: " Thank you for your help Maiden Jiang. We Lans are grateful for that"
XiChen felt little relief with that. They still have a hope. He gave a sincere bow to her. YanLi hurried to stop him.
Yanli: " please there is no need for that Sect Leader Lan. Axian is my brother. We are just doing what we have to do. Infact it's because of my mother, he is in this situation. Please accept my apologies."
XiChen: " You are not at fault Maiden Jiang. It's your mother's. As you said we are family now. There is no need for formalities. Please call me XiChen."
YanLi: " Then it's only fair if you call me YanLi "
They both share a small smile in exchange. ZiXuan is not satisfied with this progress. For some reason, his heart told him to interrupt them even though it's against Lan clans rules. He cleared his throat to get their attention and he succeed in that.
XiChen finally acknowledged his presence. He wondered what they were doing together. Last time he checked, their engagement is broken and it's upon ZiXuan's wish. What changed now? But for some reason, he knows ZiXuan is drinking viniger and he thinks he knows the reason too. He decided to play a little.
XiChen: " oh Young Master Jin, how are you here?"
ZiXuan: " um......I....I accompanied miss YanLi here."
XiChen: " then I'll arrange a guest room for you YanLi. Young Master Jin, would you like stay as well?"
ZiXuan didn't know answer for this. He turned to YanLi for help. YanLi gave him a kind smile in turn and answered for him.
