Sonic sat in his room, Shadow was still asleep, and no one knew he was awake. Sonic being alone let his shoulders sag as he drew a long low breath. Slowly he took his gloves off and looked at his hands before he drew them through his quills and he shut his eyes.

As Sonic exhaled again he sounded quite stressed. As Sonic opened his eyes they had fallen on the reflection of himself in the mirror. Sonic looked at the reflection with a saddened expression as he used his hands and brought his quills up, to mimic how they looked when Nova took over.

Sonic's sadness slowly morphed into anger as he glared at his own reflection in self-hate before for a split second the reflection played a trick on the blue blur making him briefly see Nova instead of himself. Sonic inhaled sharply and stumbled back as his hands moved away from his quills.

His eyes were wide as his heart leaped into his throat and he could feel his heart racing. The quick inhale and sudden noise from Sonic caught Shadow's attention while he was sleeping causing Shadow to open his eyes slightly to look at him.

Sonic not noticing Shadow had woken up Sonic slowly brought his hands to his chest as his ears flattened and he seemed to hunch over slightly. Gritting his teeth as he seemed spooked.

Shadow slowly sat up and he rubbed his eye slightly before speaking slowly to not startle Sonic further. "What's the problem with you now.."

Sonic looked at Shadow and just as quickly as he looked at Shadow he quickly looked away and only mumbled softly under his breath.

Shadow frowned and glared at him. " I swear to Chaos, Sonic.... if you have to make me get up while I'm comfortable, I will beat your a-"

"..I.. had briefly hallucinated," Sonic spoke up however he seemed disturbed still. Shadow inhaled deeply before exhaling slowly to try and calm his nerves.

Shadow sighed and rubbed his temple as he stayed on the bean bag. "...of what..." He grumbled irritatedly.

Sonic closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm his own nerves before he let his body straighten out and his hands fell to his side. "..of that form-..." He mumbled looking at Shadow with a more saddened gaze.

Shadow nodded slightly as he kept his eyes closed and leaned his head back more. "...I can't help much, however when I Hallucinate about Maria, I've learned to disconnect myself from my memories and reality. So even when I see her now... I am used to it and know she's not really there. As much as it pains me to admit it."

Sonic looked at Shadow with a more saddened look due to Shadow's own issue. "How... Did you get used to it though? Those tend to happen often to me and it freaks me out."

"..Time," Shadow interjected, his tone was calm as he opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling. " Accepting it's a thing you must suffer with, and Time to get used to it."

Shadow stretched slightly as he rested his hands behind his head. "There are a few that even get me still, so don't get so worked up if a few times it does get to you."

Sonic looked at Shadow and listened carefully. His eyes flicked up at the mirror then back down at Shadow.

Sonic approached Shadow near the bean bag and carefully sat down next to the bag. "...you know, I never knew you actually had like true hallucinations... I only thought you'd get flashbacks of your past. Not that too. I'm sorry to hear that."
