6 months later

"I can't believe I'm sneaking you into a fucking wedding," Kara said as she sneaked me into the back door of this massive building.

I looked around, everything was decorated with white flowers and I hated to admit it but it was beautiful.

"Oh shut up, you wouldn't survive without me anyways" I laughed as I fixed my dress. I was sneaking in but I still wanted to look like I was actually invited.

Kara laughed. "Yeah you're right about that"

"So where is Lara? I don't want to bump into her" I asked as we were walking to the main room. There were so many people around and also many people who knew me, who would instantly recognize me.

But who probably wouldn't rat me out.

"Probably yelling at one of her bridesmaids, don't worry about it, she's way too stressed about this" Kara said as we walked in the room.

I hated this so much but it was beautiful. It was exactly how I imagined my wedding venue to look like. I had to rethink my decisions right now.

Kara pulled a little on my dress, pulling me down next to her. "Sit down idiot or do you want them to see you?"

I quickly sat down next to Kara who looked at me. "You look beautiful though" she said with a smile on her face.
Over the past few months, she has been such a good friend, which probably wasn't easy because I've been a mess.

She moved back to Monaco for me and probably also for Charles but she always claimed it was for me. I like to believe her.

"So do you, thank you for everything" I smiled a little until the door behind us opened.

Lando walked in with his best friend Max Fewtrell. They were both wearing suits, Lando fixed his curls as he was walking up the aisle.

He stopped in front of it and so did Max. He licked the corners of his lips as he was fixing his tie. He was nervous or was he regretting his decision?

God how I wish it was me who he was waiting for.

Lando was just staring in front of him. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Max on the other hand was busy looking around. Scanning through all the guests, until his eyes met mine.
He raised his eyebrow a little.

I quickly put my finger against my lips, trying to tell him not to tell Lando and he didn't. He just quickly looked away until the music started to play.

Lara walked into the venue, she was wearing a dress with a veil that was 2 metres long. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Why was she always so over the top?

But my eyes were on Lando, he looked at her but it wasn't in the same way as he used to looked at me, or maybe I was lying to myself.
She was the one he was about to marry, not me.

Kara grabbed my hand and squeezed it. She knew it would be hard for me to watch this and it was. Nothing could've prepared me to see them together, about to marry each other.

"Should anyone here present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" Sounded through the venue.

It was my last chance, but was it worth it? I closed my eyes and sighed.

How did we end up like this? How did he end up dressed in a suit about to say his wedding vows to someone that wasn't me?

Let me take you back to when our lives changed.
