He, oblivious by nature, didn't notice anything. But Jisung did. He stayed in the corner, curios of how far would the girls take it until he would step in.
-It's a lovely kitten. He's so happy to have a home, Minho handed the cat to one of the girls who brushed her fingers on the back of his palm.
-Thank you! But it's my first pet. Can I call you if I have further questions?
Jisung stepped in and threw his hand around Minho's shoulders.
-Hi! he fake smiled. For questions you can consult the internet. The last thing he wants to see is what you have down there, ladies. The only thing you have in common is the position you use when a man pumps into you, so walk away and don't ever bother my boyfriend again.
The girls widened their eyes and walked away in shame.
Minho slapped Jisung in embarrassment.
-What the hell?
-They were hitting on you, Jisung shrugged.
-You're a jealous brat.
-I am. Had to make it clear you're mine, he smirked.
-I am yours, Minho chuckled. But please don't bring up our sexual life into people's conversations. Especially strangers'.
-I'll try, baby, he kissed his head and returned to work.
Chan decided to go and hang out at Felix's place. There was one problem: Hyunjin's door being once again slightly open.
He instinctively reached with his hand for the knob when Hyunjin's voice startled him.
-Hey!
-Hi...
Chan looked at the boy who just climbed up the stairs with a box of paint.
-I forgot the door open again, Hyunjin chuckled.
-Yeah... Try to be more careful, alright?
-I will, Hyunjin kept his smile and entered the apartment, not before turning to say bye to Chan.
The older felt asphyxiated by the awkward atmosphere. He knocked at Felix's door and tried to brush off the previous scene.
-Felix?
-Hyung, what's up? the freckled hugged his friend.
-Tonight is the match. I hope you will be there. I saved a ticket for you.
-I'll sure be, Felix took the ticket. Are you ready?
-You can bet on it. I feel lucky. Maybe I'll win, he winked.
-I must see that. Is Hyunjin coming too?
-No. Why would he?
-I thought... Oh, alright, Felix shut up, knowing it was a delicate subject. Then help me pick an outfit, he dragged his hyung in his room.
The big night came.
Chan usually avoided inviting friends to his matches. He was known as violent and to make Felix and Minho watch him punching other guys wasn't the best friendship boost.
However, he wanted to show off in front of Hyunjin. Before he got rejected, of course. He was left with a ticket and gave it to Felix since Minho and Jisung were unrepairable at that time.
He struggled to find his friend in the crowd, but he didn't have that much time. He did find a blue hoodie and instantly assumed that was Felix since he picked it for him to wear that night.
And for the rest of the night he focused on winning. He let all his rage built up during the last days to overflow in his punches. He could have sworn he had never sweated like he did then. He was pushing through pain and keep going. And what for his opponents felt like hours, for him felt like minutes. He didn't even realise when the night ended. He just found himself with the trophy in his hand. And the crowd cheering for him.
Yet something strange happened.
The ovations slowly turned into gasps. Chan turned confused and his mouth opened agape as he stared at a huge painting of him winning. And the one holding it? Hyunjin wearing the blue hoodie and waving at Chan.
Chan practically teleported to the backstage to talk to the younger.-Hi! Hyunjin smiled sheepishly as he took a napkin out of his pocket and cleaned Chan's bruised cheek.
-How? he looked at him in disbelief.
-Felix gave me his ticket. He said I must be here to see you.
-I thought you didn't want to come.
-I didn't. But not for the reason you think. I didn't want to see you getting hurt. The thought itself was upsetting. I'm sorry that I made it sound any other way. I made the painting to make it up to you. I skipped a few meals and hours of sleep to finish it in time, but it was worth it.
-You did that for me?
-Of course! Hyunjin smiled. You did so much for me. I had to keep up, he chuckled. Besides... he averted eye contact. Besides, you're my muse. I couldn't help myself to draw you, he said all red.
-I am? Chan's cheeks got caught on fire. Hyunjin nodded shyly.
-Am I forgiven?
-Yes, Chan wrapped his hands around the boy and hugged him tightly.
It may not have been more than a friendship state he was stuck in, but for the moment it was enough.
