-- when Diluc first saw you he didn't pay much attention to you. He just found your tail and ears rather eye-catching - you were rather charismatic too but not that he paid attention.
-- the second time he met you was at cats tail. It was rush hour and you had accidentally gotten some drunkard's order wrong.

"Sir!― I'm sorry!― I'll make your order again!" You yelled out, gripping the serving tray to your chest as a man ― clearly drunk yelled at you for getting his order wrong. "How can you get such a simple order wrong?!" He got up from his chair, slightly closing the distance between you. "Do you need someone to beat some senses into you?!" He continued raising his hand, you looked at him wide-eyed before closing them, bracing yourself for the impact. But it never came, slowly you opened your eyes again. And there stood the man himself. The hand behind the tycoon of the winery. Diluc Ragnvindr. He had swiftly pushed the man away from you. Muttering something under his breath, he looked at you "Are you alright...?" He sounded rather unsure of what to say, but when he figured you were alright he left swiftly to avoid becoming the center of attention.

-- third time, it was you who sought him out, wanting to thank him for saving you that day. You figured you should get something for him. And you not knowing him on a personal level got him a bottle of fine wine and some flowers.
-- you found him at Angel's share, there were little to no people other than a specific green bard who was passed out on one of the chairs.
-- when you gave him the gift and said thank you he literally paused for a second and just stared at you before he reluctantly took the gift from your hands and muttered a small thank you.
-- in Diluc's eyes you were tolerable. (He has a fat fucking crush on you.) Ever since you came to say thank you - you noticed him showing up everywhere you go - you're working at cats and tail? He's there. You're going out of the city? He has to apparently has to go there too. And these "accidental" meetings turned into full on hangouts.
-- as you got closer to him you found out about a lot of things about him that never thought about, like how he hated alcohol but continues to be a bartender - just like someone you know.
-- speaking about diona... When she first saw saw you with him oh boy... She was FUMING at the mouth, seeing you interact with diluc ― the man behind the wine industry made her so mad that she didn't talk with you for a whole day.
-- back to diluc, he couldn't figure would why he left so giddy talking with you or whenever he saw you. He felt so stupid.
-- in the end when he couldn't figure anything out he reached out to kaeya, who after listening to his story laughed so hard that he probably alerted everyone in the dawn winery. Diluc literally looked at him like he was mentally ill ― whereas kaeya just said "bro is in love" and dipped.
-- he didn't believe kaeya. Him in love? Uhm... Who do you think he is? :/..
-- to prove kaeya wrong, he went through all the pain just to be he ― himself to be wrong.
-- he started ignoring you and pretending like you don't exist. Which somewhere in his heart hurt him, like... You used to walk up to him all excited to talk to you and he just walked away from you. He felt like an asshole, he really did but you know ☹️ he had to prove kaeya wrong.
-- this went on for a while before you just stopped approaching him. Clearly hurt and confused as it why he was ignoring like that. You thought maybe it was because of you so you just started distancing yourself from him.
-- after diluc figured you stopped approaching him ― he felt so shitty and can't even think of approaching you without drowning in shame and guilty. He felt so awful but he didn't know what to do.
-- so, in the end ― he ended up in front of kaeya again for his help.
